I reviewed a few months back the Jumper EZbook 2 the first sub $200 14″ laptop with a 1080p display and 4GB of RAM. Well this new YEPO 737S model is coming next month, similar to the Jumper EZbook 2, it has a 1080p display, aluminum lid, 4GB of RAM and an Atom X5 Z8300. Sadly just wireless N still. But it does have a 128GB eMMC double the size of the EZBook’s. It has a large keyboard and touchpad with a SD card slot too.
I’ve ordered one to review, it’s just $209 over at Gearbest. Never heard of this Yepo brand before so be interesting if the build is okay. One downside to this notebook is the battery is 8000mAh whereas the EZbook’s is 11,000mAh.

Just do not change anything in bios settings because you brick it 😉

Hello Chris. Did you receive the yepo ?
Chris G
Yes, I just got it. I’ll have the first impressions write up and the unboxing tomorrow hopefully.

Gearbest has a coupon for the 128g version with EU plug for $196 usd. I pulled the trigger this morning before your review is done.
Also I hope that EU plug is just a converter. I am located in the US 🙂

Interesting looks way too thin to be true. What’s the bet when you unbox it, it’s twice as thick haha! That will be funny, when do you expect to get it? Also if I was to get an 8-inch tablet what do you recommend? I like the Hi12 but sometimes it’s too heavy for just watching movies in bed.

I’ll have it in a few weeks I think. Take a look at the Xiaomi Mi pad 2, nice 4:3 retina screen, fully laminated and a good thickness and weight.
Miguel G
oh i read in gearbest this model have touch screen too.
Chris G
No they have it wrong, it’s definitely not a touch screen.
Miguel G
i doubt betwen buy this one or the jumper ezbook 2, ezbook2 is now about 160 € in gearbest but the full body in aluminun of this yepo is interesting, i can wait for your review for take my decision.
Chris G
Just the lid is all alloy like the EZBook 2. Hope it’s okay, just the battery life 3,000 difference in battery size is quite a bit even if the display is smaller.

On the gearbest website, they have changed the specs to All-Aluminum Alloy Bottom Side. Hard to keep track of the ever-changing specs.
Also a number of ebay listings showing no-logo ultrabooks with the “737s” name, with all plastic housing and 5000mah battery.
I am waiting for your review before pulling the trigger.
Chris G
Guess I’ll find out when it ships in a week or two.
