I must admit I haven’t been keeping an eye on the Onda Weibo, but there were some recent announcements. One if which is a new 14.1″ 1080p notebook the Pony 41? Or Onda Xiaoma 41 (According to Gearbest’s listing) It’s a new Apollo lake Celeron N3450 based notebook. It has a 64GB eMMC with Windows 10 Home, and then space for up to 2TB of SSD or HDD in a user upgradable 2.5″ bay by the looks of it. Would be great to be able to add our own drive, but hopefully that 2.5″ slot can also be set as the boot drive. Which means a 2.5″ SSD could speed things up.
Other specs, Wireless AC, USB 3.0 port, Mini HDMI out, 4GB DDR3L Ram, DC charging, microSD slot.
The price 1499 Yuan, around $220 USD in China.

There is a 2-in-1 Onda Pony 11 and 21 Apollo Lake tablet’s in the works. But no further details. Onda’s quality has been one of the worst of the Chinese brands, so not sure I’ll check this out or not. Never know maybe they have improved? At least their Mini PC’s were fine (Onda M3)
