Chuwi Hi13 Will Be Announced At CES 2017 (Updated with Official Images)

Chuwi Hi13

Update 5th Jan: Chuwi just posted this image on their Weibo account today. We can see it looks like a larger version of the Hi12. Transformer style dock confirmed, looks to be made out of metal and should have two USB ports both left and right.

Thanks to David that brought this one to my attention, At CES 2017 in Las vegas (Due to kick off tomorrow) The Chuwi Hi13 will be officially announced by Chuwi. This is that Surface Book screen Apollo Lake tablet that was mentioned a few months back.

It’s going to have a 3:2 ratio 3000 x 2000 screen in it, other specs aren’t know other than an Intel Celeron N3450 (Apollo Lake) and 4GB of RAM. Hopefully like the Hi12, it will have a large 11000 mAh or bigger battery in it and full sized USB 3 ports.

And of course, updates like Type-C USB 3.1 and Wireless AC would be great. And let’s not forget Dual OS too.

  1. Keyboard looks great actually.

Crossed fingers they’ll throw other nice surprises our way–laminated screen, wireless AC…

Show us it’s a new year Chuwi!

PS: As of yesterday, you’re competing with a sub-$500 all-metal Samsung Chromebook Pro with 3:2 display, integrated keyboard and first-in-class Wacom EMR stylus technology.

  2. $537.76 per gearbest website. egh…

    • That’s just that stupid price they make up as they have to put something there.

  3. Please…Pretty please
    LAMINATE
    We’ll pay extra!

    • Highly doubt it due to cost. If it was that would be awesome!!

  4. It’s possible to read that “Pen and Touch supported with Windows 10 – 10 points” in the picture 😉 I hope for good performance and good stylus performance especially

  5. FINALLY! Is there a specific day and time for the Chuwi CES spot?

    • I’ve been searching but can’t find that info anywhere. They must be quite low key at CES.

  6. Hey Chris, happy New Year! Now, we’re talking! My Hi12 has been my replacement desktop for the last 6 months and handles everything I throw at it. This new Hi13 has got a very high bar to beat. I look forward to seeing your review in due course. Very best wishes for the gadget-filled year ahead.

    • I certainly hope it’s not just a better SoC and screen, but some other surprise like M.2 128GB sata3 SSD and intel wireless AC. Still I’ll definitely be reviewing this one.

  7. one think is sure: it is not laminated.
Look at display edges in those images 😐

    • Yes, looks similar to the way my Hi12 screen is. I think price wise it will be too costly to be fully laminated, but my fingers are crossed it was changed to OGS.

      • Could you make a picture with all your current devices you use? It would be awesome to see what you sold and what you kept.

    • If you take a good look at those images, it looks as though the screen has been hastily placed on top of the body just for the point of the photograph, it is really crooked…certainly an engineering sample.

It definitely does not look like OGS, of course.

      • Yes, the right side you can see that. Must be an ES, I’m crossing my fingers the final version is OGS like the Hibook Pro. Chuwi must know people want OGS, but it’s a matter of cost too.

        • I would personally prefer a matte screen, it’s more important for me than OGS, but i think only lenovo has released a tablet with matte surface; and that is way above my financial capabilities.
