The third and final of the cheaper tablets I’ve finally got around to looking at. The Cube T10, it’s similar to the Teclast 98 Octacore as it supports LTE and 3G. But only a single SIM. It’s powered by a low-end MediaTek 8763 with a max turbo of 1.3Ghz. (8 x Cortex A53 cores) the GPU is a Mali-T720 MP3 and it has 2GB of RAM.
The build is a step up over the Cube IPlay 10 and Teclast 98 Octacore I reviewed, metal rear with plastic front and antenna strip. 4G works fine and I can make calls with it too, using it like a phone. However, the supported bands will be hit and miss outside of China. I’m lucky as Spain supports the common Chinese LTE and 3G bands. The screen is an IPS 16:10 ratio, 10.1-inchs. A very common screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution. It’s bright and the colors are vibrant enough on it and the gap of the non-laminated display isn’t so bad, around 1mm.
Android 6.0 is now dated of course, but the ROM is bloat free stock which is great. Ultimately like the other models with this chipset, the GPU is just too weak for demanding games like Modern Combat 5. Playing it with frame dips into the lower 10’s is just too slow to be enjoyable. But lighter games can be played and the ROM and other application performance is fine as long as you don’t need a powerful GPU. Below is my video review, which covers a lot more including battery life and the Antutu score.
And costing $184 it’s more than the iPlay 10 and 98 Octacore. Thanks to Juan J for point out that with coupon, 200-50 It’s now $151, that price is a bit easier to swallow! While it is better than both of them, it’s just not really worth it, unless you must have 4G!
This one I got from Gearbest here.

I saw the T10 is out of stock on cube tablet, but a new model T10M, just wonder what;s the differences of these two models.

I saw a side-by-side somewhere, and the specs of the T10 and T10M were identical as far as I could see. So if available, go for it. Still very happy with mine.
They also brought out an apparent upgrade of this model called the ALLDOCUBE / CUBE X7 4G Phablet, which I recently saw on Gearbest. 3GM ram (T10 has 2), better camera specs by far with 5.0 front and autofocus/flash 13.0 back (T10 has 2.0 front and 8.0 back) and, of course, an upgraded price. Much higher, in fact.

Got both the Cube T10 and Teclast 98 Octacore recently for my own shootout (I need LTE), and both are working well. The Cube feels like a sturdier unit, and the screen and battery life are pretty impressive. I’m using these to replace my Samsung Note 10.1 2014, which was terrific but I can’t bring myself to buy the last 20% of someone’s used unit anymore.
I would buy the T10 again in a heartbeat, especially given that it is just over half the price of a used Note 2014.
The Teclast is a step down in most respects, but I could use it as my daily if need be, and for the money, quite a good deal.
BIG shoutout to TechTablets for helping me find these units and providing a much-needed resource for a tablet goober like myself.

i recently got a similar tablet with mt8163 (very old chipset, one generation behind reviewed unit), 4gb ram, 32gb memory, android 6.0 for usd 80. there is no 3g/4g (still has GPS). the only bad things are the battery life is only 2 hours. the gpu is simply non existent, similar with chris experienced.
Chris G
At least this battery is good for 6-8 hours. It’s a good tablet, just not recommended at all for gaming.
Brad
Yeah, overpriced. Should be around $130. Or perhaps even closer to $100, and same with the 8″ Android tablets, the prices need to fall now that the better Appolo-lake Windows tablets and notebooks are coming down in price.
Brad
The only thing that would make one worth it for me is if I could install Linux on it for a portable dev device. But not sure if Linux support for Mediatek is good enough yet, or if these devices’ BIOS even support booting from a Live-USB. I’ve read it works on some devices, but I think (not sure) all the proper drivers are not always available.
Chris G
I don’t think Linux at all possible on this one.

Someone just advised me there is a coupon for $151, so that price is a lot better now for what it is considering its better than the iPlay10 and Tecalst 98 octa core. Still, me personally I prefer the dual boots. Love my HiBook Pro running Android and Windows with a fully laminated screen for $170 I paid on flash sale.

Just got mine yesterday.
Amazing screen and really clean/responsive rom. If you don’t play heavy games or hunt for pokemons (no compass) its a great value for money. The GPS works fine but I only tested it once. Screen mirroring to a Sony Bravia works great too. Wifi not AC but working fone.
Don’t forget to use DEBLOATER to block the SPYWARE – run MALWAREBYTES to find this spyware, this is similar to the one found on BLU chinese phones.
Chris G
Glad to hear you have a similar experience. yes, lovely screen, fast ROM. Just not a gaming beast.

Nice too know Chris. This tablet is great for business meetings and bluetooth calling. Android is runs quite ok with a budget cpu.
I would never buy an ATOM or Apollo lake windows tablet again! – Windows minimal specs – Intel Core M and ssd storage 4/8gb RAM .
My two Atom and Apollo Lake tablets are so slow after the windows updates.
Chris G
After the creator’s update? I disable the updates (set metered on the wifi connection) to stop updates as I want all my storage I can get on them.

never understood why do i need 3G or 4G on my tablet, when i can use wifi and Hotspot from my smartphone- waste of money, better give us better cpu and more RAM
Chris G
I agree, I would rather they saved on the modem and gave us a MediaTek Helio X20 SoC. I still don’t understand why we haven’t seen an Helio X20 tablet.
