Just received the Alldocube Knote 5 yesterday from DHL. Bought for E 261,- from gearbest, by far the cheapest windows 10 tablet with a little horsepower. The tablet comes with a power adapter and a simple click on euro-connector plug, a usb-c to 3.0 converter and an extra usb-c to 3x USB 3.0 hub! Windows 10 home x64 comes pre-installed (english) with a pre-installed Alldocube account. Screen is no...[Read More]
I’ve been using the new Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and I still don’t really understand the need for this mobile. It’s the same proven formula used over and over by Xiaomi. A Snapdragon 625 + large 4000mAh battery. But that’s now a bore. Maybe it is true Xiaomi bought up the last of the Snapdragon 625 stock nobody wanted to touch but in return gain a big discount on the flagship chi...[Read More]

Chuwi’s working on a new Lapbook Air model that will be called the Lapbook SE with the new Celeron N4100 Gemini Lake SoC. Not much is known only that it will have a backlit keyboard, a premium thin and light build. And a new 13.3″ fully laminated IPS screen (The Lapbook Air was 14.1″) This all sounds good, but no info on RAM and storage. Hopefully, it will come with 8GB of RAM an...[Read More]
Works well – lovely keyboard, slight lamination issues a few places around the edges and a bit of backlight bleeding, but nothing you’ll notice when the corebook is in use. For the price I’m very satisfied so far. Will be interesting to see if the lamination problem will become worse or not. 7/10 because of the small issues. Build quality is otherwise very nice.
Alldocube’s second tablet with the Helio X20 is better than the X1 the 8.9″ version which ran into thermal throttling affecting the performance. The M5 is 10.1 inches with the same 2560 x 1600 resolution, but this time the screen is non-laminated with a gap of about 2mm between the screen and glass. And to top it off that screen isn’t exactly the brightest at around 190 lux. Like...[Read More]
