Teclast’s X98 Plus Cherry Trail X5 Z8300 was just reviewed here with Windows 10. It’s not a bad tablet at all for those after great battery life and don’t need the best in gaming performance. It now seems like the X98 Pro release, it came first with Windows 10 only and now it will soon be coming in dual os flavor?
According to this banggood.com listing, the X98 Plus Dual OS on the way. The price is listed as $200, which is about $28 cheaper than the X98 Pro. It’s good to see Teclast at least are still working on dual OS models, unlike Chuwi, Cube and Onda that are so far only releasing Cherry Trail tablets with Windows 10.

Correctme if I’m , I believe a good gaming tablet is the best choice for heavy daily usage of business. Gaming is the real test of sound , graphics , processor , storage and battery life. But I prefer to have a have windows os for a tablet with the mandatory connectivity of surrounding devices.Hope that teclast X98 plus can do the trick , is it ?

Asked Banggood for an update on the dual boot X98 Plus. They still have no firm date but “don’t expect it before next month” (Jan 16). That’s my Chrissie present to myself gone. 🙁 As a dual boot device is a must have for me I’m now considering the X98 Pro as an alternative. I am not really bothered by potential heat issues as i’m not going to use it for gaming but other problems with the X98 Pro (e.g. crashes etc) have put me off. A question for Chris and/or other owners; is the X98 Pro worth buying and if i did, what are the minimum tasks i’d have to do to reduce/eliminate any instability problems?

Same as you, decided to wait until an X98 Plus Dual Boot is out. Also read too many issues with the pro.

Hopefully we can flash our own with this new Rom to make them running smoother

Thanks for the information.
I was just wondering, as I’m French, how can I set up the tablet in french ?
Do I have to re install ?
I created a topic on the forum to avoid article pollution…
