Huawei’s flagship 8-inch tablet is up for pre-order now on GearBest.com, the Huawei MediaPad M2 features a Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 930, 8 core SoC big.LITTLE (with 4x Cortex A53 1.5 GHz and 4x Cortex A53e 2 GHz cores) and a ARM Mali-T628 MP4 GPU. Apparently it gets over 55k in AnTuTu 5.7.1 benchmarks which isn’t bad.
The tablet comes with 2 or 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage expandable up to 64GB via the microsd card slot.
The screen is a 1920 x 1200 IPS panel with a decent 283 pixel density, sound is handled by Harman/Kardon so sound should be great on the tablet.
Other specs include a 4800mAH battery and 8MP rear camera, Wireless N and Bluetooth. The pre-order price is $323 for this powerful Android 8 incher and it will start shipping on the 20th this month.

As this tablet is now generally available in various versions from a variety of suppliers, it would be good to have a review, or at least a bit more comparative details on here.
Here in the UK it is available from outlets such as Amazon, so doesn’t have to be ordered directly from China.
I have just purchased their 8″ MediaPad M2-801L (with SIM card slot) and my initial impressions are very positive indeed.
