Teclast X3 Pro Review Now Online

Teclast X3 Pro Review Now Online

If you missed it, the written review for the Teclast X3 Pro is now up and online. The X3 Pro is the only 8GB, Dual-band Wireless AC, stylus-enabled Core M3 from the Chinese brands. Teclast might not have updated from last year’s design, but they certainly took a few steps to ensure the spec is at least better than Cube’s i9, the other Intel Core M3 Chinese tablet.

But does better specs, make it a better tablet? Find out in the review: Teclast X3 Pro Review.

By the way, I’m working on the Cube iwork12, Teclast Tbook 10 and X89 Kindow reviews as fast as I can. I’ve had many internet issues holding me up and some Chinese mobiles to review in between as a break from Atom X5 Z8300 tablets!

  1. I purchased an X3 Pro MONTHS ago, at the time the keyboard was out of stock, I went ahead thinking that it would be back in stock soon, weeks went past nobody had any in stock, I contacted Teclast TWICE not so much as a reply. Why on earth would there be no keyboards available?? This make the unit useless as a two in one ! My experience is a complete lack of any support I would think twice before purchasing another Teclast Product.

    • Actually I give up already, their support guys are rubblish completely, they don’t know what is wireless n or ac, just tell me it is support WIFI, very suck, even at this time, I updated to win10 pro, no drivers support on win10 1604, anyway ACER is more better…

  2. Is there a way to acquire the restore file from the hidden partition of teclast x3 pro?

that way i can backup its factory drivers before clean install

  3. I found the new problem of X3 Pro, after upgrade to win 10 anniversary update, sometimes will hang on SSD, I’m not sure how long MS will release the fix patch, I tried to change AHCI to RAID in BIOS, but I cannot startup the win 10, may be if un-operation, reinstall to 10586, not use that 14393

  4. Hello Chris,

I just buy X3 Pro too and clean install win10 pro 1607, but i found a problem of device manager, its show “two HID senseor collection V2” are failed,
    “Intel(R) Xeon(R) E3 – 1200/1500 v5/6th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) Gaussian Mixture Model – 1911”
    “Mobile 6th Generation Intel(R) Processor Family I/O Thermal subsystem – 9D31”
also failed, i tried to download your drivers package and tried to fix it, but fail too.

    So anyone have idea?

    Thanks a lot

    Leo

    • Hi Leo,

i have exactly the same problem. Did you find a solution?

      best regards

      Sven

      • no any idea at this moment, after checked, may be the problem is win10 1607 some intel driver are updated, let this failed, you can see the name of display that only 6th, not 6/7th, so may be waiting a new drivers 9n windows update, and I screen dump on original win10 for x3 pro, one driver can reinstall and resumed to normal, and I tried to windows update on original win10 home, found that it cannot upgrade to 1607, but I need clean install win10 because the original win10 may be have some virus on other non windows apps, anyway the drivers failed not effect on my operation on this pad , I just want to know how to take photo use the pad of carmea, I don’t know which app I can use for.

  5. Hi Chris, a little question. How do you install a clean Windows on this tablet? Do you put it on usb key with all the drivers and than it will boot on this key ?
I am afraid to try it like that as I don’t want to have my x3 pro to be blocked.

    • Yes, make a Windows 10 Home USB pen drive and install it. Format and wipe everything to ensure no adward etc. Once don’t you will need a mouse, no touch screen, no rotation. Use doubledriver to restore the drivers http://techtablets.com/teclast-x3-pro/downloads/ (Might take two goes) reboot and then move the touch screen files to fix it. And you’re done.

      • Hi Chris, thank you for your answer.
I made a bootable windows 10 usb key.
But how to boot on the usb key as it always starts with the existing windows ?
I tried with “ESC” to access to Boot parameters but there is nowhere parameters to boot on usb.
        Can you help me ?
        Thank you in advance.

  6. Could this Intel CoreM based device run Android x86 ?

Would you be so kind to test it out?

    regards

  8. After my experience with these two Kindows, I think that even if the x3 was an 11 on a scale of 10 I’d have to pass it by. They might be the worst devices I’ve ever kinda used since one’s dead already. LOL

    • X89 Kindow? Well, that is in a different price class. It’s only like $75 now. I’ll be working on reviewing my X89 Kindow soon as soon as I clear up some other reviews first.

      • I have one Kindow and made a review (in spanish) here: http://www.elotrolado.net/hilo_review-teclast-x89-kindow_2172299

The worst problem is the heat… It quickly reachs 50º C on the back. When i tried to bechmark the tablet with 3DMark IceStorm Windows shutdows to prevent heat damage. Same when i tried to play Ultra Street Fighter IV.

The battery is too small… With the screen at 0% it last 3 and half hours máximum…

        • I think heat may have been what killed one of my Kindows, it was working one minute and the next it was completely dead. Shows an interesting pattern of behavior, turn it on and the back cover will register 125 degrees (F) in about 60 seconds. It didn’t even last two full days. Gearbest offered a whopping $50 refund for that one after haggling for a few days. The other one, we get about an hour and a half on a charge and it will only charge if it’s powered completely off.

        • Part 1 of my X89 Kindow review is here: http://techtablets.com/2016/06/teclast-x89-kindow-review-android/ same issue. Runs too hot, 500c exactly like your one.
