More Details On The Teclast Tbook 16 Power Z8750 Tablet

Some further details have been released on the up and coming Teclast Tbook 16 Power. It’s set to be released around the 11th of November in China. It’s going to have the same look as the Tbook 16S but be powered by an Atom X7 Z8750 which has a maximum boost of 2.56Ghz (it’s the fastest Atom there is) it has Intel HD 405 graphics supporting 4k out via HDMI.

RAM has been confirmed to be a healthy 8GB of DDR3 dual channel RAM, and it will also have a Type-C port and Android 6.0.1 with Windows 10. This will be the first Teclast tablet to have Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 and I think the first from the Chinese brands I typically review here.

Others specs:

  • Dual OS
  • 11.6″ 1080p screen (Same as the Teclast Tbook 16S)
  • Free position metal kickstand with rear metal housing.
  • Quality type cover (However I found the trackpad a bit too small for my liking)
  • BT 4.0, MircoSD card slot and Micro-HDMI out
  • USB Type-C (USB 2 or 3.0 port TBC)
  • Micro USB 2.0 port.
  • Side facing stereo speakers
  • DC input for faster charging
  • Rear 5MP auto focus camera and front 2MP camera

No word on the pricing or if it has Wireless AC, I’m hoping it will at least have the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 chipset in it. I wonder if their launch event will also mention the up and coming Apollo Lake Teclast X3 Plus?

Spec wise it looks good, are you looking forward to this model? I’ll do my best to get hold of one and review it once it’s available. Be a nice change from all the Z8300 tablets. mini pcs and laptops.

  1. is gearbest and geekbuying trustworthy? i want to buy a tablet.. and i want it to get shipping to UK.. ill be using DHL, FedEx, UPS, depends whats available.. i just wanna ask do i have to pay any custom tax duty charges when importing to UK? can i convince the seller to declare the tablet as gift and write the value of $20-$30 to avoid custom duty

    • Hi yes they are trustworthy, I use them all the time. If you use DHL/Fedex/any express shipper I always have tax to pay when it arrives here in Spain.

  2. What protective case would be compatible with the T16 Power?

  3. Now also listed on gearbest:

Does anyone know if these preorder prices are actually good? Should i buy it for the “cheap” preorder price, or wait and hope it will get a testing here at techtablets and then (maybe for an more expensive price) order it?

    • The preorder goes up and down, I still have high hopes to grab this tablet for $300 within the next month or so.

Looks like the speakers are on same side, lacks AC, lacks SSD.

On the bright side, full size USB 3.0 port 🙂

      • now its on for 324$ which is kind of okay i think. which keyboard does work with this tablet? do you have a link?

  4. Finally updated the CPU! really like the blue keyboard as well. Saw it at Geekbuying for $374.

  5. Why there are no android or dual boot tablets with ssd drives?

  6. Fascinating specs, although I’d find it hard to believe it would sell for less than $300USD. I did some poking around and found this page on the Teclast website (I’m pretty sure- these Chinese tablet manufacturers are sometimes tough to track down!):

Specs are a little different than what you posted, i.e. processor Cherry Trail x7 -Z8700. But this looks /really/ interesting, I’m in the market for a Surface-lite clone with a really good type cover but don’t want to spend $400USD+. I have a Jumper EZbook 2 and it’s pretty good, but I don’t like the keyboard – too many mistypes because of the sub-par keys. Same kind of issue Chris pointed out with the Chuwi Hi12 – springy keyboard.

    • whoops spoke too soon – here it is on JD.com 🙂

      1999 Yuan = $295 USD

Only available within China for the moment it appears…

    • Hi Kyle, the X16 Pro/Power is an older model. This one is different, the TBook 16 power is like the 16S. But with 8GB of RAM, Android 6.0/Windows 10 and faster X7 CPU.

    • It’s really confusing as the names are so similar. X16 Pro/Power are the same series and are the same on the outside, only difference is the RAM. The Tbook 16 / 16 Pro / 16 Power on the other hand is completely different on the outside from each other although their names sound like they are of the same series.

X16 Pro / Power have compatible accessories (keyboard, USB port; A/C port; camera positions are the same). TBook 16 / 16 Pro / 16 Power have completely different accessories (incompatible keyboard, different USB port, etc).

  7. What do you think the aspect ratio would be?

  8. I’m not used to this CPU, would this be close to the Core M 6Y30 or there’s still a substantial amount of difference?

  9. Jumper Ezbook 2 with X5-Z8350
    http://www.gearbest.com/laptops/pp_494211.html

  10. Any hint if it’s going to support a wacom or equivalent stylus ? (bundled or as an extra)

  11. This one triggers me on so many levels, imagine AC and SSD and we would have had a winner :/ Why is it so hard for the chinese companys to produce the perfect tablet? 😛

  12. OGS Screen?

    • Don’t think so, if it’s like the Tbook 16S then it’s non-laminated.

  13. Hi. Dual boot means ROM is splitted.i could experience with Chuwi vi8 plus fact android has 8gb… And that is not possible to extend the ROM! Conclusion, I always must free space for updates and drastically limit the apps in use. What about this teclast model? Thanks

  14. Backlit keyboard?
    GPS?

  15. Unless it’s too expensive, it might be interesting.
