JDTab J01 Now Listed On Banggood.com

JDTab J01 Now Listed On Banggood.com

JD.com’s very own tablet is coming, the J01 as it’s labeled, is a joint venture between JD.com, Foxconn, Meizu, LeEco and Harman Kardon.

It’s powered by a MediaTek MT8173 SoC with PowerVR GX6260 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB eMMC and speakers from Harman Kardon, UI by Meizu (It will run Flyme) and the CNC metal housing and the rest is made by Foxconn. The battery will be 6200mAh in size and the screen is a 7.9-inch 2048 by 1536 one, same as the iPad Mini 4.

GPS is on board as well as Wireless N and USB type-C port. Which I hope supports display out at least which is one thing the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 lacks.

It’s listed on Banggood now for $285 and I expected this one to be a JD.com only exclusive, so glad to see one retailer so far has it listed to sell. It looks interesting, shame it isn’t dual OS and no 4G or Wireless AC even.

Thanks Mathias for pointing this one out to me.

Chinese tablet news, hands on videos and reviews of the latest Chinese tablets. I don't review or cover just anything, only tablets I think are good enough and worth the attention.

    • Oh didn’t know about that model, not the type of tablet I would review.

  1. Here’s the link for it on JD.com.

    • I hope the price for the rest of the world will be lower than at banggood. 200 euro is a very good price but I know that they add something to it. More margin, shipping ? 240-250 is the max IMHO.

      • I think it will have to drop in price at Banggood otherwise, it will not sell well. $285 is a bit steep for what it is.

  2. Its an ARM cpu, not possible to be dual boot with windows.

I’d give up any hope of video out over usb-C, i’m not aware of any android tablet (or phone) with video out over usb-C, there’s little chance of a Chinese maker pushing the boundaries here.

Personally don’t see the point of this kind of tablet today tbh, not at anywhere near that price at least.

    • The ASUS Zenfone 3 Max I reviewed outputs video via the Type-C port, one of only a few mobiles that can do it. If they had gone with an Apollo Lake, maybe we would have had dual boot. I don’t think it will do well if the Mi Pad 2 is cheaper and looks to be thinner.

  3. Looks very nice. I could live without the sd card slot with 64 gb of memory. The video out via type-c would be nice. Good to see some more 4/3 tablets. New FNF ifive mini 4s (we will see if it is worth ), maybe updated mipad and… asus is releasing new nice tablets like zenpad s8/s10. This week the 3S10 is on promotion for 299 euro (32gb version). More competition, more choice lower prices.

    • I might get the FNF iFive mini 4S to check it out, the Zenpad 3S 10 was great. I really enjoyed that tablet, would have kept it but really had to sell it on for the cash to buy more tech to review.
