Deals: Gearbest 4th Anniversary – The Best Deals List (Updated)

It’s Gearbest’s 4th Anniversary sale. And this might have been the reason prices went up recently, so they can now drop them for their 4th birthday sale. There are a lot of items that are discounted and on flash sale on the main discount page. Here are my picks based on tech I’ve reviewed and the price:

It’s now $219 on flash sale here, for those that don’t want to spend the extra for the Teclast F7 this is a good option. But be aware that some bios version are giving trouble with certain SSD brands. Check the forum for more info.

  1. Chris we have the AliExpress birthday sale coming up in less than a week too (have noticed a few good Xiaomi phone prices). Will you be compiling a few deals from that sale?

  2. If anyone is interested Jumper’s EzBook 3 Pro is at less than 200€ here: https://www.gearbest.com/laptops/pp_647765.html. Also, their EzBook 3L Pro is at 220€ here: https://www.gearbest.com/laptops/pp_671109.html.

  3. Too bad they just jacked the price on the T10 to $295.99 US before coupon. It’s been $218.99 for at least the past couple weeks.

    • It pays to check throughout the day as I got mine for the equivalent of $140. I’m happy for the price I paid.

      • Take it you got lucky with that snap up price? There were like 10 units or something only.

        • Sort of, kept checking price until it dropped to $194 I think. I then got a working discount code and used some GB points. When it arrived apps kept randomly shutting down so got another $40 partial refund, turned out the problem was the Teclast security app which I disabled and fixed my problems! BTW, what do you think of the latest update to phoenix OS? Not sure myself as it would’ve been nice to know they were moving away from stock android before updating.

    • my bad, the coupon is a “Fixed price” coupon for $199. For some reason I was thinking it was just $20 off.

  4. Chris Lightinthebox has the Mi Notebook Pro for $799 https://goo.gl/RaXra8 and it includes express shipping, just thought you should know. Are they trustworthy?

    • Used them before without any issues. But for me that express shipping they force you to use means taxes here in Spain. If I was back in New Zealand it wouldn’t be an issue.

    • I ordered from them on March 08, 2018 for a Xiaomi Notebook Pro (total $1500 CAD).

The product page said processing time 2-4 days business days. After 4 days, I wrote to them to make sure the package was going to be shipped out this day. They confirmed it. I contacted them again two days later as they didn’t ship it. They then told me they’d ship it on March 20, 2018 “due to unexpected high demand” and proposed to refund $10, lol. I asked to cancel my order and they closed my ticket. They created a new one where they offered to refund $100 CAD. I opened a dispute on PayPal as I wanted my darn refund, but then I asked myself if getting the laptop quick was that much important, as a $100 CAD refund is not nothing. So I wrote into the dispute that if they refund me $100 CAD I’d close the dispute and wait for the package to get shipped, but they forced me to close my dispute in order to get any refund (total or partial), which is kinda bad because I wouldn’t be able to open a dispute again.

So I did close my dispute. No refund came. No response. That’s what I was expecting. Seeing they wouldn’t reply, I opened another cancel order ticket, which they also closed and re-propose the $100 CAD refund.

I think it’s cool from them to have offered a partial refund to not cancel my order, it was a good offer. But my PayPal dispute complicated things, I probably should have waited.

They would have probably refunded me the $100 CAD and shipped the laptop at some point, but I bought it from them **because** the processing time seemed reasonable. So if you’re looking for reasonable processing time, go with Gearbest.

So anyway, all things considered, I can’t recommend them to you, but I also can’t *not* recommend them to you. I got my full refund, it was complicated but that’s to be expected when you need support from companies like that. Just wanted you to know that things can get quite complicated and frustrating with Lightinthebox, but it’s probably the case for Gearbest too lol.
