It would seem as the rumors about the Meizu 16S we reported a couple days back have already been disproven by new leaks.
Some of you will indeed remember we said the Meizu 16S will not see any reworks in its design as it’s just going to be an “S” version and the company isn’t ready to launch a new Meizu 17 while still celebrating their 16th anniversary. Well, all that has been done away with as today’s leaks instead suggest the smartphone will “definitely” sport a different design.
As you can see in the image below, the Meizu 16S does indeed pack a new camera hole placed in the upper left corner, bezels have been reduced to the minimum all around the screen and on the back we find a total of three cameras accompanied by Meizu’s iconic LED flash.
Of course, the Meizu 16S shall pack an under display fingerprint scanner, just like its predecessor, along with the next gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150, at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
We have to say it’s really early to take these leaks seriously, but we do hope companies like Meizu can bring this new design and flagship hardware to the masses with their usually more affordable pricing.
