Pipo has a new mini pc coming, the X6S. It’s an Atom Cherry Trail X5 Z8300 mini PC with 2 or 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB eMMC for storage, but it has a 2.5″ SATA II slot, so you could add a harddrive 1TB drive in to expand your storage. The X6S comes with Windows 10 Home and it’s even fan cooled. It’s not a bad move considering the Cherry Trails are much hotter than the older Bay Trails.
No idea on pricing yet, but I imagine it would be around the $80 mark, $30 to $40 more for the 4GB and 64GB version.

When we expected?

Not sure, PiPo haven’t stated when t will be released. I think soon, this month?

I don’t think the Atom’s support it, Sata is still okay for a large slower 1TB or 2TB drive for media storage or a lower powered ftp server etc.

Wow, SATA II support. Now that is a old technology. Sure they didn’t remove USB 2.0 entirely, leaving only USB 1.0? Someone needs to tell the Chinese that we are already using SATA Express and PCIe for storage devices. This should have a minimum of SATA III and preferably M.2.

yes, we need sata3, for all the high-end computing we’re going to do on that… Atom PC…
