Cube iwork10 Announced 10.1 Atom X5 Z8300 Tablet With Keyboard Dock

Cube iwork10 Announced 10.1 Atom X5 Z8300 Tablet With Keyboard Dock

Today Cube announced their latest  tablet. The iwork10 is an Atom X5 Z8300 tablet with 4GB of RAM, 64GB eMMC, Windows 10 and a 1920 x 1200 IPS screen. It also has active stylus support (doesn’t seem to be a Wacom stylus?) and keyboard dock similar to the Chuwi Hi10 or PiPo W1S. The dock has variable angles and a USB 2.0 port on the right side. The other specs are the usual, Wireless N, Bt 4.0 and mini HDMI. What I can’t make out is if it has full sized or micro USB 3 ports on the left? Anyone read Chinese better than my Google Translate app?

Also, things might be a bit slow around here as I will be on very long flight soon to New Zealand… I’ll be checking the manufactures Weibo’s when I can and I’m over the jetlag. And I have some tablets to review in NZ while there.

Here are the press images from the Weibo announcement:

but no pen no keyboard .. is the same ?
    price is interesting ..

  2. Love the real, hinged keyboard and 16/10 aspect ratio.

Wish we could get a higher-spec version of this with a bigger screen. Why is 16/10 aspect ratio always restricted to 8 to10 inch devices? Why do we always get 16/9 when we get into the 11 inch range?

My ideal Chinese device would have a real hinged detachable keyboard AND a screen size and aspect ratio closer to the surface devices. I can’t possibly be the only one…

  3. It seems that the rebrand variant is already available here in Germany: http://www.amazon.de/TrekStor-Volks-Tablet-x5-Z8300-Graphics-Touchscreen/dp/B01521DD4G/
The Trekstor W2 is also just a rebrand of the Cube i7, but with a better (dual-band) WiFi/BT module and a much more impressive keyboard. 4G seems missing though.

    • Still a Realtek module but with 5GHz support, probably the RTL8192DU.

    • The Trekstor W2 has the same specs and size as the Cube i7 (non-stylus version, 11.6″; the Cube i7 stylus is a 10.6″ device), but has a “stylus option”–that’s a significant difference.

    • but only 2GB ram & 32GB eMMC

  4. Has anyone figured out what kind of pen it supports?

    • Not 100% sure, but since Wacom is not mentioned at all. My guess is it’s an active stylus like the Teclast one and Dell Venue 11 Pro. The photo the stylus looks different too, not like the Cube i7 Wacom stylus.

      • I’m writing this on a Pipo w5 8″ with a passive electromagnetic stylus, tech is said to be Hanvon. Build quality of this Pipo isn’t great, but it’s smaller and more pleasant to hold than an Asus Vivonote8″, and the stylus of the Pipo works much, much better than the Asus’ Wacom. If it’s Hanvon I’m for it. Lenovo’s ThinkPad 10 has Wacom and cops a bit of flak for edge-of-screen performance, and MS abandoned Wacom for N-trig because their tests said it was better, but this Hanvon is impressive. No battery, too.

  5. Looks quite similar to the TrekStor SurfTab duo W1

    • Wow it really does…I imagine their the same tablet just branded differently. I remember seeing a video with Steve Paine (?) at some convention where he reviewed a tablet that looked exactly like a cube i7 but it was branded differently.

What I like most about that TrekStor is that it’s black and not blue…

  6. It looks like cube iwork11 whith a little varation of thr things in the left side. I don’t know why they don’t release it for the cube iwork 11/ i7 stylus.

  7. I assume you are going to NZ to see friends and rellies over xmas. Interesting little niche you have identified here at TechTablets. Have an enjoyable trip and keep up the good work.

  8. Any idea of price range ?

(1st pic state 999rmb, around 150$) but I don’t think it’s the new tablet price.

  9. 1 hdmi, 1 micro usb 2.0, 1 micro usb 3.0 and 1 sd card slot

    • Thanks, so it is micro USB 3.0 it looks like it from the photos.

  10. Micro HDMI nv sae anithin abt other port
