Well, the Galaxy Tab S5e is the best tablet I’ve reviewed recently, the best smaller 8″ tablet is still this one I think for the price. Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 4 and yes the Mi pad 4 Plus is just as good, if not better with more battery life however it’s more expensive and not as portable. Below is my re-review of the Mi Pad 4 after 10 months. There is just so much to like about it and if you’re into meddling a little with unlocking the bootloader there are some great ROMs available that really improve things, tweaks to the speed, removal of bloat and even OTA updates on the Xiaomi.eu ROM. And a very clean smooth ROM I also recommend is the Google Experience ROM on XDA.
With any luck, Xiaomi will be releasing the Mi Pad 5 in the next few months with hopefully Type-C to HDMI support this lacks and maybe the SD675 or SD710 chipset. I’m still waiting for their 2-in-1 Windows 10 tablet if they ever release one. Just imagine a Xiaomi Surface Pro type of tablet but a good 30-40% cheaper.
You can buy the unlocked bootloader with Xiaomi.ru ROM model here at Trading Shenzhen.

You mentioned in an earlier video that the mi pad 4 doesn’t have hardware compass, so is the LTE version have hardware compass and the wifi one doesn’t ?

I would want a 2 in q1 Xiaomi Windows tab but something larger than 8 inches

I’ve been very happy with my Alfawise.

Thoughts on this VS a tab s2 8.0? They are going for under $250 on ebay, and have a beautiful AMOLED screen, albeit with a less optimized 4:3 aspect ratio.
