Teclast T30 Is Coming – An Android 9.0 Helio P70 Tablet

It’s about time I’ve been waiting for someone to put the Helio P70 in a tablet, and Teclast it seems will be the first. The Teclast T30 which is currently listed on Gearbest has a 10.1″ 1920 x 1200 (16:10) screen. It should be fully laminated and powered by the octa-core Helio P70 with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. This a noticeably faster than the older Helio X20 series 10 core chipsets and can run games like PUBG with much smooth framerates. I’ve tested that SoC in mobile and it’s like the Snapdragon 660 in terms of performance. So a decent midrange chip.

It’s paired up with 4GB of RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1. The other usual specs are wireless AC, 3.5mm jack, type-C port, Bt 4.1 and MicroSD support. This tablet also has 4G and GPS. Plus on the bottom, there is a pogo port for a keyboard case. The T30 has an 8000mAh battery runs Android 9.0, has a and is set to release next month.

Talk of sweet-sounding speakers in the press materials below means they have finally improved on those typical weak speakers? I just received the Teclast M30 which is a budget 10.1-inch Helio X27 tablet so that one will be the next review and I hope to pick up a Teclast T30 next month to review.

  2. Nice topic and worth reading Thank you for your effort
    Shop from china

  3. Hmm 560grams for only 10.1″ that cant be, gotta be an error under product-spec.

but on the other hand it aint skinny with 0.85cm
one thing I priotise a lot in tablets’ is thiness and weight and build.. its weird but since my old Xperia Z2 10.1 tablet that also was like 6mm that thiness really makes a huge difference when you use it..
The Samsung 2019 tablets are really setting the pace high, with 10.5″ ALOMED 1600p Quad atmos speakers that sound ridicalus and a fraction over 0.5cm (recall the S5E is 5.5mm and 398grams for a freaking 10.5″)

  4. really bad decision to downgrade the screen, IMO this is the one and only advantage they(those smaller manufacturer like chuwi/teclast etc) held over the mi pad 4 plus.

The screen is the only reason why i use my hi9 plus more often than my mi pad 4 plus.

Now that the mi pad 4 plus is regularly going on sale at under $300 USD there really is no reason for this tablet to exist considering that it will cost around the same.

    • Yes, the Snapdragon 660 still performs great and ys the Hi9 Plus screen in the T30, for example, would have been great. The old 2560 x 1600 panel. I don’t mind the lower res if it means it will be much smoother over the T10 and T20 which it will be with the 1200p and the Helio P70. We also really need a Widevine level 1 cert for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other streaming services in anything over SD!

  5. I would love the performance increase, but I am dissapointed with the screen resolution downgrade. It’s only 1920×1200, when even previous Teclast T10 had 2560×1600. I guess this will increase game smoothness more tan the new processor…

    • I’m not so worried as 1920 x 1200 will be so much faster. I have the M30 with a 2560 x 1600 screen and even the UI lags. I know it’s the Helio X27 but with 1080p or 1200p is much more fluid. I think that it will be the same even for the P70. Lower res means it will be smoother.

  6. I wish Teclast would step up their game in regards to OS updates. Same with Chuwi and Alldocube. They make semi decent tablets but you are pretty much guaranteed to never get an Android update past the initial release. If you do, it is never to a later version of Android. Just some bug fixes n

    • Yes, that is one area they definitely lack in. Instead a major OS release we get OTA updates only just bugfixes. They prefer to release a new model with Android 10 for example rather than update the current models which is wrong.

  7. Sold out on gearbest at the moment…what price do you think this will launch at Chris?

    The specs all sound promising

    • Hi Jerome, I think around $250, maybe a first flash sale price of $229 or something is my guess. The current Helio X27 M30 new release budget tablet is $160-$69 and with this new spec, chipset and better build at least $60 more than the M30.
