Teclast F6 Plus 360-Degree Touchscreen 13.3″ Laptop

Teclast F6 Plus 360-Degree Touchscreen 13.3″ Laptop

The BMAX Y13 is my favorite and the best of the Gemini Lake N4100 laptops I’ve reviewed, but now we have a super late contender the new Teclast F6 Plus that’s coming and will ship just before the year is out.

This is shaping up to be possibly the best Celeron N4100 laptop. We have all the current best BMAX Y13 features that make it great, with a thin and light build for 13.3-inches. The power delivery full spec type-C port is there, 10 touchpoints 13.3″ IPS screen but this one has stylus support. We also have the 8GB of DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD (Upgradable SSD hatch). And something that annoys me with the BMAX Y13 it only two type-c ports. This F6 Plus has two full-sized USB 3.0 ports and the PD/Data Type-C.

Downsides?

The only real downside I can see is the keyboard isn’t backlit, the BMAX Y13 keyboard is but the silver keys can be a little hard to see. You’ll have no such issue with the black and white letters on the F6 Plus. And this laptop is to me basically the Teclast F6 Pro, but they have tweaked it and given it the Gemini Lake N4100 instead of the Core M3-7Y30 which wasn’t as good on the battery, which is 38wh. And it’s much cheaper than the Core M3 F6 Pro. Also, the screen, if it’s like the F6 Pro, will have a 1mm gap or so, not fully laminated but then there is a change Teclast is using a different panel and it could well be fully laminated (OGS).

Price & Shipping date?

The laptop is selling for $319 a little less than the BMAX Y13, which is about $329-$339. But in order to get the $319 price Gearbest wants us to pre-order it placing down $20 to hold our order for a $50 discount. They state shipping starts on the 23rd of December. I know I said the BMAX X14 would be my last N4100 laptop I would review. But since this could be the last of them and possibly the best should I cover it? (If I can)

Unlock bios and dual-channel RAM is the big question mark here.

My main concern is if that bios is fully unlocked like a lot of Chinese tech, great for power limit and other tweaks. And if they have the RAM configured in dual-channel like the Jumper EZbook X3 Pro, BMAX Y13 and BMAX14 is means we get the max performance out of that little N4100 quad-core. Unfortunately, it’s not something we will know until one of us gets our hands on the laptop.

  1. I think that the Bmax Y13 is still a better choice despite the lack of stylus support and the 0.9MP camera, cause of the full laminated screen, bluetooth 5.0 and lower weight.

  2. It’s one with the least deal breaking factor: half size up/down key. What a disappointment, it’s almost there. I don’t think there’s any 13.3″/N4100/8GB dual channel LPDDR4[X] RAM/256GB SATA3 SSD that can really fulfill my requirement. It’s the end of N4100 anyway, hopefully its successor will have a better chance of wining my heart, brain and cash.

  3. I’ll take my chance for €279, don’t think its gonna be cheaper 🙂

  4. Hi, I just read that on gearbest about CFF screen ,I have tried to Google about it but nothing, so lets hope it is as good as OGS as they say,,fingers crossed, I just ordered one .

  5. This is what GB says:

    Q
please answer me with yes or no: Is the display fully laminated?

    Hello MM,

    No it dosen’t.

    Q
What is CFF Structure (about display)? i can not find any thing about.

    Hello MM,

Better and higher screen structure than OGS level.

  6. I thought that too, touch screen has to be laminated.

  7. Yes does cff tructure mean ogs?

  8. Doesnt it need to be laminated to be touch screen?

    • I wish it did. But no the touch digitizer doesn’t have to be optically bonded to the IPS. Just look at the F6 Pro for example. It supports touch but has a 1-2mm gap in the glass. And then all the cheap tablets with non-laminated screens.

  9. Hi Chris,
what is CFF structure with 10-point touch screen?

    • Not sure by what they mean CFF. Never heard that before.

  10. So: no laminated screen, bluetooth 4.0, 1.6kg but,
stylus support, 2MP front camera and full sized ports.

  11. Confirm it can support 2 monitor ?

  12. I’m the only guy interested in weight?
    This unit is 1.7 Kg!

For that reason I don’t buy it.

  13. At Customer Q&A section they answered that keyboard isn backlit.

  14. Hello Chris
You mentioned teclast has stylus support over bmax 13…
Does the stylus of bmax y11 work on bmax y13?
    Have you tried?

  15. I hope is not better than Bmax y13 or at least maybe these two laptops are finallly the best in this category (N4100) . Anyway Thanks for your advice Chris!

  16. 😂

  17. Ops! And I have ordered before 2 days the BMAX Y13 , supposed it was the best (as you said) in this category . Unfortunately Teclast made a new model with great characteristics and I feel a little bit unlucky about this timing for me . I was checking almost 2 months just to find the best option for me , and off course you helped me a lot Chris with your reviews . But still I believe that I ordered a better laptop than the upcoming F6 PLUS . Keep the good work Chris , I really enjoy your reviews!

    • Yes the BMAXY13 could still be the best, this screen I think will not be fully laminated. So the Y13 has that at least, just missing the full sized ports.

  18. Where are the 3:2 display gone?!?!?
this is finally a good laptop, except the chipset is almost 2 years old…..
Let’s hope they keep the laptop main body and upgrade it to the next gen chipset (AMD?)

    • It would be nice to have another one with the 13.5″ 3000 x 2000 Surface Book screen again. I hope BMAX, Tecalst and maybe Chuwi can give us next year similar options. Touchscreen laptops with Type-C full spec, 8GB DDR4 RAM and the new-gen Intel or AMD would be great.

  19. If it is based on f6 pro how do we know that the screen will be fully laminated? The

    • Sorry my fault, yes if it’s like the F6 Pro it will have a gap of a 1-2mm. I was thinking of the BMAX Y13 screen. I fixed the article on it. But there is a chance it would be a new screen and fully laminated. I’ll order one today so I will find out when it arrives for us all and if it uses dual-channel RAM.

  20. do share (if possible) 😉

  21. I fear the photoshopped bezels and the real world bezel as wide as an autobahn.

But I have aristrocrate coupons with 7% off on each piece I buy … 7% cashback and 7% aristroctate off an 2% coupons .. just 16% off

    • See my F6 Pro review, it’s basically the same body so the bezels here aren’t much bigger they are about the same as shown thankfully.

  22. This looks like a winner to me. Might pre-order even.

    • Yes, I have to say it does. Might sell my BMAX Y13 and get it. I just hope the bios is unlocked. Not a huge issue if it isn’t just use the software power limit unlock method. And hopefully, like the other models that RAM is dual channel not single. It should be, be stupid if it was as their competitors use dual-channel RAM.
