Ran through the normal tests I do in Android, benchmarks, the screen, sound and temps in Android are fine. The X16 didn’t really go over 40 degrees which was good to see. But I’ll be testing out Windows now and looking to temps there more closely as the X5 Z8500 can be hot (as seen in the X98 Pro).
But for now here’s the Android side of things before my full written review is up in a week or so.

I don’t think that 7 is a bad score. I like how Chris reviews the tablets and point out the issues that were present. I think that if he would made another run of benchmarks the results would be better than X98 pro,becouse the specifications are the same and x16 pro has lower resolution.

I’ve been really enjoying mine.
The downsides I’ve found
– Lack of dual-band wifi (Probably the most disappointing thing)
– Small hard drive
– Fairly heavy
– The keyboard cover is pretty shitty
– Cannot encrypt Android
Other than that Windows and Android run very well and I’ve been happy with it.

I’m torn. I just got an email sayiing they are ready to ship, but I’ve never owned a Chinese tablet before. I’m mainly looking for an android tablet that I can dual boot into Linux. I want thinking of cancelling my order and getting an Nvidia Shield K1. What do others here think of the comparison of something like a Shield to one of these Cherry Trail tablets?

Does the X16 Power support encryption on Android? Outlook asked me to encrypt my device and it seems to be hanging on the “Teclast” booting screen.
If I’ve broken the device how would I reset it back to factory defaults?

Not sure it would work, I haven’t tired to root it. Much harder now with Android 5 vs 4.4.4

Local electronic shop, a variable ac power adapter with the multi-sized plugs would do I think. Its needs 5v 3.5A , maybe we can find them on Aliexpress.

Would it be possible for you to also run Antutu 6 Beta 5 (or higher)?
The Mipad 2 with same SOC scores something in the 80000s with the new version and Id like to know if this is just “cheating” or if Antutu offers a new scaling system with 6.x (which I assume, because my MT6582 Smartphone has gone up about 2000p aswell)

I just want to avoid the dust magnet that they made for it if I can.

Tried on the X98 Pro, its too slow. It will not play it faster than about 10 fps.
