Deals: Big Summer Tablet Sale

The sale is now over… Gearbest has a big summer sale on top brand Chinese tablets, now on for five days. They have posted limited stocks at these lower prices. Speaking of which, look to be some of the best on the internet I’ve found. Some of the better deals I’ve listed below: Jumper EZBook 2 (Ultrabook): Deals like the Jumper EZbook 2 Ultrabook I recently reviewed, is now going...[Read More]

Chuwi Hi12 Gets A New Metal Keyboard Dock

Let’s face it, the keyboard for the Hi12 is very cheap and has a poor build quality (Remember my unboxing? Screws fell out of it) Well Chuwi listened to the complaints it seems, and they have announced a new metal high-quality dock for the  Hi12. It’s now got black keys (not white!) and a build that looks just like the HiBook keyboard, but larger. And HiBook keyboard is really nice, so...[Read More]

Now Shipping: Teclast X98 Plus II

The Teclast X98 Plus II Dual OS is now in stock and shipping from Banggood.com. I’ll try to get my hands on one and have a look at the changes. But looking at the press imagines, it has had a slight redesign, thinner and more rounded with all the ports now located at the top of the X98 Plus II. And the rear housing has had some minor changes with some new speaker grills. When I get hold of m...[Read More]

Teclast X80 Power Unboxing And First Impressions

This was a surprise, I never expected the Teclast X80 power to be much slimmer than the X80 Plus or Pro. But it’s is in fact 7.3 mm, the build is very nice. The alloy housing, fit, finish are very good, it has a premium feeling to it apart fro mthe plastic power and volume buttons. The rear reminds me of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2’s build, the screen is glass (not plastic) and the speakers so...[Read More]

Jumper EZBook 2 Benchmarks, Temps And Overall Impression So Far

Now I’ve had my Jumper EZBook 2, a Macbook clone running Windows 10 Home, with an Atom X5 Z8300 and 4GB of RAM for a few days now. Here are some benchmarks of the laptop. So far apart from the dodgy USB ports that will not power my external 2.5″ hard drives and the bouncy keyboard the Jumper EZBook 2 isn’t as bad I would have assumed for the price tag of only $189. Sure temps max...[Read More]

Teclast Tbook 10 Review (video)

In cased you missed this on the TechTablets YouTube channel here is the Tbook 10 full video review. Note that I gave up waiting for the keyboard dock to become available so I could review them at the same time. It’s still not out yet, but should be by the end of the month, I’ll review that later. This is a long review that covers both operating systems and everything else I could think...[Read More]

Update: The i7 Stylus 2.0 will be called the i7 Book outside of China. More on that here. Cube’s official website has just been updated with a new updated version of the Wacom-enabled i7 Stylus, the new model. Teclast X3 Pro Review Now Online

If you missed it, the written review for the Teclast X3 Pro is now up and online. The X3 Pro is the only 8GB, Dual-band Wireless AC, stylus-enabled Core M3 from the Chinese brands. Teclast might not have updated from last year’s design, but they certainly took a few steps to ensure the spec is at least better than Cube’s i9, the other Intel Core M3 Chinese tablet. But does better specs...[Read More]

Teclast X3 Pro Internals. Sim Reader And Spare M.2 Slot

Got around to looking at the internals of the X3 Pro, as I suspected there is a SIM reader on the motherboard and a spare M.2 slot for a 4G modem. The build quality is good, nicely laid out. Good to see Teclast used some copper in there on the heatsink and not aluminium. I would have thought they would have used a thermal pad on top of the heatsink to transfer heat to the rear alloy casing like Cu...[Read More]

Xiaomi Mi Max Review – A Full Detailed Video Review.

So here’s my full review of the Xiaomi Mi Max. It’s a huge 6.44″ mobile, that is very similar to the Redmi Note 3 Pro I reviewed. As this model has the same spec apart from the screen. Please see the below time codes to skip ahead to parts of the Xiaomi Mi Max review that interest you most. This is a long review. 00:52 – Design And Build 02:30 – Size comparison 03:14 ...[Read More]

Teclast X98 Plus II Coming – Just A Minor Redesign?

Teclast has an X98 Plus II model coming soon.  And it looks to me like it’s sadly just a refresh of the design with a new unibody rear alloy housing redesign. The ports are now all on the top of the tablet and the speaker slots look a little different. It’s hard to say if it’s slimmer or not due to Teclast’s history of inaccurate photoshopped images. The specs are all the s...[Read More]

Chuwi HiBook Android Review (Video)

Chuwi’s HiBook is the twin of the Cube iwork10 Ultimate, sharing many features and the same keyboard. But the HiBook has a few minor changes, like a Type-C port, no stylus support and left and right speakers as opposed to both of the right of the tablet like the iwork10 Ultimate.  In this video review, I cover the Android side of things, Windows will be covered in a separate video. Most of t...[Read More]
