My Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 review is now online. It’s a great tablet and it has to be the best 7.9″ to 8″ tablet currently out from China. Nothing will match the quality offered by Xiaomi at this price point. Sure it’s not a perfect tablet missing a MicroSD card slot, but damn it’s good for the $185 price. You can read my full review here with benchmarks, gaming tests and cam...[Read More]
Beelink has recently released the MX64, it’s a high spec’ed Android 5.1 media player with some fairly decent specs for the price. It’s one of the first devices to support HDMI version 2.0 spec, which allows up to 4k 60 fps playback if you have a monitor that supports that. As well as Wireless AC, a Gigabit ethernet port, SPDIF audio output, 2GB of Ram, 8GB Rom, quad core CPU, US...[Read More]
The Lengee WD01 is a newly released WiDi Wireless Display dongle for any TV or monitor with HDMI support. It’s $29 at GearBest and runs off USB power to power the device. It supports 1080p WiDI and Miracast standards. It also supports Wireless AC, so you can use the less crowded 5Ghz band. So if you’re looking for a cheap Miracast or WiDi receiver, it might be worth a look.
One of the best Android tablets of the year, if not the best the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, ultra slim, powerful and it has an amazing 2048 x 1536 SAMOLED screen. But looking at the demo unit in an electronics shop today, that screen burn! My photos don’t do it justice. It real life it’s twice as bad, if you look closely at the images you can see a band and Google logo. It’s the goog...[Read More]

My Mi Pad 2 originally came with a custom Rom that had Play already installed and multi-language support. Unfortunately, for me when I updated to the latest stable release, I lost Google Play functionality. I had to reinstall it to get it to work pass the connection issue. It’s not hard to do, just download and install the following GApps apk’s in the order outlined 1-4. If you do alre...[Read More]

If you missed it, my Teclast X16 Pro review is now online. While not a bad tablet, it does have some flaws and throttling in Windows. As an Android tablet with a nice keyboard doc it’s not a bad machine, but if you’re after it more for Windows I would take a look at other tablet offers out there. GearBest also has it on special for $263, but only 120 units will be offered at this price...[Read More]
