Update: X98 Pro Mirek190 v6 has been released. Changelog & download below:

-modded the RAM chandler – much more efficient the heavy multi tasking
– better settings for LMK
– better settings for ODM
– fixed black screens that occur sometimes ( the second attempt )
– increased sedder randomizer ( less IO congest )
– possibility to change navigation bar to 3 buttons 5 buttons and 6 buttons ( default 3 buttons )
– flashing tool updated to v3.0

Mirek190 has released his newest Teclast X98 Pro Custom ROM. It’s got a huge amount of improvements and some of the more notable changes include: Hotplug support, full use of the 4GB of RAM and more CPU scheduler tweaks to save on battery life.

This ROM will literally double your battery life versus the stock one and it’s so much quieter. So if you’re a X98 Pro owner, this ROM comes highly recommend.

  1. Hi,
    I installed the V6 1.5/56 GB on x98 Pro… All working well but booting is long time.. looking that at the “chinese Teclast” logo the system is waiting for 1 very long minute for… searching for the windows ? or what ? And then it starts Android well…
    Any clue to correct this “slow booting” ? in Bios I guess but.. I prefer to ask what are the needed parameters for BIOs with the ONLY android installation Mirek V6 1.5/56 Gb.

    I have a big problem on my X98 Pro dual OS running Mirek v6: Speakers stop working after a few minutes and headset icon appears in status bar.
    I have the same problem also in Windows where speakers don’t work at all.
    Could someone help me?

    • No problem with that. Mines runs hours after charged. I kept the brightness almost at the lowest.

      I have another small problem, i only can play you tube portrait. I can’t found the auto rotate option on this tablet

    after install android v5, v6 i get start bootloop,
    apps are starting and…tablet restarting.

    after try with intel flashing tool i get stock after 63% fotmatting partition, on tablet say done but program rerty…

  6. hy chris, i don’t know how i can flash my tablet. I dowload the flash and tool file but when i open the phone flash tool don’t find ” flash.json” file. I try to open flash.bin file.. but in the end pop up

    When I try to flash with Your V6 rom, after choosing clean install it gets stuck at . Drivers are all properly installed, and tablet is recognized by windows. What can I try to do?

  10. Non of the link works to download the roms. Anyone seeing the same problem?

    • Please try again. I have made some changes. Seems Google drive is not happy with all the traffic from downloads.

    • What? Scans are clean for me. Are you sure? I just downloaded it to check.

      • I don’t know how it got there I took the following steps.
        1) Downloaded files from the links on this site.
        2) Flashed clean install.
        3) Connected to WiFi and logged into my Google.
        4) Installed various apps, uninstalled Chinese apps.
        5) Scanned with Stubborn Trojan Killer, found and killed trojan.

        I can’t say how it got there, I don’t trust whether this build or stock build downloads things in the background. For example I got a notification to update TOS when I have replaced with Google Now.

  14. Hi there. Thank you for the awesome work you have done with this. I have an x98 Pro dual boot with Windows 10 and Android 5 on it. I want to use your ROM, but I also want to keep Windows on it. If I follow the exact instructions for version 6, will I affect the windows installation in any way? I’d like to leave that part of the tablet untouched. Thanks man

  15. when you play any video or music anywhere and the volume is low is heard pieces or almost is when under the video nor hear, that happens only in android from the Chinese version, not if it could solve, would be great, for Moreover’re a genius, thank you for your great great contribution, it’s great

  19. Greetings. I would like to ask will there be any custom rom for X98 Plus 3g tablet? I know the X98 Plus ROM is suitable for the 3g version but it will remove the calling options and I need them. Thank you.

    • X98 plus 3g is not for calling – only 3G data transfer .
      There is not 3G phone calls option In this tablet!

    when I was running the “FLASHER_v2.1-(-just_press_twice-).bat” file it didn’t pop up as an app to guide me through instead when I click on the .bat file it shows a window and then the system closes it automatically. What should I do?

  22. Hi Chris, I’m trying to choose between the X98 Plus (for the battery) or the X98 Pro (for the performance). I’m not really a gamer so the performance would only be for browsing the web, watching movies and performing day to day tasks. Does this ROM improve battery life enough to make it as good as the X98 Plus? Thanks for all your work on this website, it’s a great resource.
