I’ve reviewed all the hybrid X series tablet meets mini PC’s from PiPo, and they weren’t at all bad, a mini PC with a touch screen .Which means doing something basic like loading up “Peppa Pig” on YouTube for your kids doesn’t require the use of a mouse or keyboard as it has a touch screen.
Well the successor to the 9″ PiPo X9 is the Pipo X10, and this one has a 10.8″ 1920 x 1280 3 by 2 ratio screen, the same as the Chuwi Vi10 Plus & Surface 3 screen and solving any heat issues it also comes with an active fan to keep the Atom X5 Z8300 cool. Other specs include 4GB DDRL3 single channel RAM, 64GB eMMC, 100mbps LAN port, MicroSD reader and Wireless N. It also has 3 full sized USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port to connect all your larger storage drives too. The Pipo X10 runs Windows 10 and Android 5.1.
Gearbest has it up for sale now with coupon GBPX10 lowering the price to $187.99.
Here is the older X9 version review, which gives you an idea of just how this hybrid tablet mini PC works.

I allready have several X9 and the new X10 in house. We just installed Windows IOT Enterprise edition to the X9 and X10
and have some problems finding the Goodix touch driver with an install uitility.
Also the sound driver is missing.
But otherwise it is a very good unit. Works solid and has a prefect display.

I wonder why there’s no dual boot win10/marshmallow/lollipop option??? Lost the boat with that one…

Geekbuying lists it as dual boot Android 5.1 and Windows 10. Other sites say only Windows 10, guess Chris will have to confirm when he gets his.

I’m really tempted to get this, but very disappointed it still doesn’t have Gigabit ethernet.
This kind of device is absolutely perfect as a headless server (obviously only if you have low CPU requirements). You can hide it in a closet, remote desktop to it, and you don’t even need a monitor connected if you ever need to physically go to it for troubleshooting.
I suppose I can just get a USB 3.0 ethernet adapter

Does look like an interesting product though. If it doesn’t come with a battery or mic, I would frown on it…

Okay, all specs online point to a large 10,000 battery inside. But one video states it’s option and a VGA port too. Mic I’m sure is there. But I’ll only know for sure when mine arrives hopefully next week.
I know what you mean about fake specs. They do that a lot with the very cheap no-name tablets, claim 4GB of RAM and its only 1GB and fake in the Android system specs as 4GB.

I bet listing errors are 90% done on purpose. There’s a trend with Asian manufacturers, 1gb is listed as 2, a 1080p screen is really 720p. Android 5.1 is really 4.4, etc etc… Don’t even get me started on the built in cameras lol! 720p is really VGA interpolated at best… Last but not least, true battery MAh ratings, almost always, they fake numbers and it’s so irritating… Now of course it’s not across the board with every company in the Asian tech market. Though it happens enough to make one feel as though they see the consumers as being stupid, gullible and ill informed. Willing to believe whatever flashy trumped up ad’s we come across, while searching for the best deals out there… I’ve bought tablets, BT earpieces and several other related items from China over the years. The biggest issue I’ve noticed is that there is hardly any regulation with this industry overseas. Perfect example, I bough several extended length charging/sync cables for a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet I own. Came to find out, they charge VERY slow, and the tablet mentions this with a message as well on the screen… Basically they wound up in my night stand drawer, never to be used… The vendor from China, listed the cables as being compatible with the tablet, (so not true!).

The previous one had no mic, so Cortana was redundant without attaching an independent mic. I sold it. I wonder if this one is any different.

No battery?

10,000 mah battery

Are you sure it has no mic? On the right side next to the volume buttons. I’ll be sure to test it out on the X10, I’ve just ordered one to review. Gearbest lists a10,000 mAh battery in their specs, but I’m 90% sure that’s incorrect and it has no battery like the previous models. I’m also not 100% sure it is fan cooled, that could be another listing error.

If possible if/when you review the X10, given the size of it’s case I think it would be interesting to some hacker/tweakers to open it up and show what upgrade or tweaking can be done. Seems like there must be lots of space in there.
