Pipo W1 Pro Hands On And First Impressions.

The second Atom X5 Z8350 powered tablet to arrive for review, Pipo’s W1 Pro. It’s been a while since I looked at a Pipo tablet from them, the last Pipo piece of tech I reviewed was the disappointing Pipo W10 hybrid mini-pc. So this tablet is configured with Windows 10 Home for now, but I do think Pipo will later have a dual OS version of this. Other specs are the typical ones, 4GB DDR3...[Read More]

PiPo X10 Review Now Complete.

I’ve just finished my Pipo X10 review, unfortunately, it’s no better in my eyes than the Pipo X9. Sure if has a few upgrades but in the end the rest of the hybrid mini pc/tablet is let down by quality issues. You can see the Pipo X10 review here with pros and cons and my final verdict or catch the review below: Next up the Teclast Tbook 16S review, Jumper EZBook Air (Cheap Atom Macbook...[Read More]

Now Shipping. Pipo X10 3:2 Ratio Hybrid Mini PC

I’ve reviewed all the hybrid X series tablet meets mini PC’s from PiPo, and they weren’t at all bad, a mini PC with a touch screen .Which means doing something basic like loading up “Peppa Pig” on YouTube for your kids doesn’t require the use of a mouse or keyboard as it has a touch screen. Well the successor to the 9″ PiPo X9 is the Pipo X10, and this one...[Read More]

New Pipo X6S Atom X5 Z8300 4GB Mini PC Pics

PiPo has posted some new pics online of their newest Mini PC, this one’s different as while it has a common Atom X5 Z8300 and 4GB of Ram. It has a massive heat sink and fan for cooling. PiPo claims it improves performance by 15% to 60%. And it has a SATA connector so you can add your own 1 or 2TB drive for storage. It’s got a 64GB eMMC for Windows 10 and main use which will still be fa...[Read More]

PiPo X9 Released a 8.9″ 1920 x 1200 version of the PiPo X8

A while back I reviewed the PiPo X8 dual boot mini PC. It’s an impressive little hybrid mini pc that surprised me with great performance and a crazy fast eMMC drive that had 4k random reads and writes like an SSD.  Now PiPo have released the new PiPo X9 version of this popular model with an upgraded larger screen, now 8.9″ and sporting a 1920 x 1200 resolution. The rest of the specs re...[Read More]

PiPo X8 Review – A Great Little Hybrid Dual Boot Mini PC

The PiPo X8 is something of a hybrid mini PC, powered by an Intel Atom Z3736F which can boost up to 2.16Ghz 2GB of ram and a 32GB eMMC it has the internals of a common Atom tablet. But this isn’t a tablet, well kinda. The PiPo X8 is a not your average Atom dual boot mini PC, as it has a 7″ 1280 x 800 touchscreen on it. Which surprising comes in handy for those times you don’t hav...[Read More]

New Pipo 8.9″ Dual boot. The PiPo W4S 8.9″

New, well not really. I see it’s an upgraded Pipo W4, with better cameras and a new 64GB eMMC size. The rest of the specs remain unchanged. Atom Z3735F (1.8Ghz)  2GB, the usual, see the specs below. The key stand out feature is the 1920 x 1200 Samsung PLS screen. With the release of Windows 10 so close, I would have though they would be holding off on new releases. Gearbest.com have a sale on the Pipo W3F for $147.99 now, this is the later release (unlike the one I reviewed) that now comes standard as a dual boot tablet.I found the W3F to be a decent 10.1″ tablet with a nice 1920 x 1200 16:10 screen and full sized usb 2.0 port. The gearbest listing states it’s USB 3.0, but that’s incorrect. Only the W3 model has USB 3.0. You can see our rev...[Read More]

PiPo W8 unboxing and first impressions

The Pipo W8 arrived the other day, here is the unboxing video and my first impressions. My Windows benchmarks, heat and throttling tests to follow soon. Not the build quality you would expect for a $450+ Core M tablet Dust under the screen! Sharp edges from poorly finished plastics Screen is very sharp as expected at 2560 x 1600, but not the brightest USB 3 port does work at full usb 3 speeds unli...[Read More]
