While I work on the Vido W10 Elite review (Atom X7 Surface 3 Clone) here are the benchmark results of the tablet and some more info. Also a short video of Remix OS 3.0 the new Android 6.0 version running on the tablet. The new remix version now includes a Google Play installer, so no messing about with side loading Google services and Play store. It worked just fine and I was able to use Play to download, install Antutu and Clash of Clans.
The W10 Elite has some great specs. Fully laminated display, full metal body, stylus support, Atom X7 Z8700, 128GB eMMC, type-c port and Intel Wireless AC. My full video review should be online in the next day or two.
Remix OS 3.0 works, but it’s far from perfect. No sound, inverted display and no way to adjust the brightness.

What version of Remix are you using? The 3.0.207 does not work on the vido w10 elite that I have. Can you pass me the link of the version you were testing?

Nice seeing that this will likely get dual boot. I’m looking at this (Vido W10 Elite) compared with Telcast X98 Plus II (or even X16 Power and X16 Pro), Cube i7 and Cube i9.
Not sure what would be best for my partner – wants to do small amounts of illustrator/photoshop (stylus useful) but mostly watch videos, social media (useful having dual boot to android) and ideally under 1kg with keyboard (probably type cover style for thinness and weight reduction) and reasonable battery life.
I’ve also looked at reconditioned Surface Pro 2s which seem to be around the same price.
Any thoughts?

My Chuwi HiBook does not boot into windows 10. Is this a common fault and how do I solve this issue please. Android is fine.

I have some of the same issues on my cube i9, no sound and it’s very buggy. CoC sometimes crashes/freezes and I have to rest the tab to get it working. For me I have no problems with inverted display or brightness though, the beta version based on android 5 was much better if it’s available to download somewhere it may prove a better choice. BTW do you think installing the realtek audio drivers on remix will fix the no sound problem?

Missing drivers is the cause, if you can install Realtek drivers for the sound card that should fix it.

you always mention fully laminated screens. Is there an article where it is described what that really means? How do you spot it? Does the manufacturer tell you what kind of screen it has?

Hi, fully laminated is when the glass is optically bonded to the IPS display. Also called OGS (One glass solution). Like the Surface Pro series or the iPad Air 2 they have PGS screens and most mobile phones. Non-laminated is easy to spot, a gap between the glass and screen below (iPad Air)
