Update this method also works on my Xiaomi Mi 6 running Android 7.1.1
So the new Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is running Android 7.0, MiUI 8.2.8 was my latest updated. I had many issues trying to get Google Play installed. In the end, I found working APK’s including Contact Sync. In order to make things easier I created a MIUI backup, so you all need to do is download the Mi Pad 3 Google play files backup.
Then extract and move the AllBackups folder to MIUI/Backups on your Mi Pad 3 and restore it via additionals settings, backups.

Heeelp. Mine came with “MIUI Global 8.2.9.0 Stable”. There’s a play store and google services are installed. HOWEVER, whenever I open a google app (youtube, gmail etc.) it tells me that “Youtube won’t run without Google Play services, which are not supported by your device.”
I already updated Play Services. No change. I also did the backup that you posted here. Still the same problem.

I’ve found a solution. This fixed everything for me. EXCEPT I still can’t open the battery monitor in settings. It crashes. http://en.miui.com/thread-654025-1-1.html

Doesn’t work for me. Fixes the play services crashes but can’t download apps. It flashes between “downloading” and “waiting for wifi” in a never ending loop.

Get Play Services to update and then it should work without this issue. It’s also the ROM apparently I read on the MIUI forums that doesn’t pay well with Google Play, it’s later fixed in the latest Dev ROM I believe (Play store stability).

Solved the problems? I should be coming next week

Oh while I have you, can you please test these games UFC, Asphalt Xtreme, and Mortal Kombat X. Can you let me know if they crash, glitch or have any issues? I’ve got problems with many games on my Mi pad 3. I think it’s the ROM but to rule out hardware, I need to know if others also do it.
