If you wanted the 4GB’s of ram with the Surface 3 you had to buy the 4GB/128GB model, well now it seems there is a middle ground, 4GB and then 64GB eMMC option for $549. Saving yourself 50 bucks. $499 gets you the 2GB/64GB model and $599 is the top end 4GB/128GB option. Yeah, still expensive. In Europe it’s 599 euros for the base and 719 Euros for the top spec – Aprox $800 usd, so you have it $200 cheaper.
There is a 4G/LTE version in the pipeline due very soon that will cost an extra $100 on top of these prices.
The Surface 3 is the first Atom Cherry Trail tablet released, you can check our our Surface 3 4GB model review here.

Hello,
I have found an offer for Asus Transformer Book T300FA, which has similar features (in fact, I would say better). It is 12.5″ screen, Intel Core M 5Y10, 4Gb RAM, 64Gb SSD and detachable keyboard with 500Gb HHD for 440€.
Do you think that could be a good offer? Have you tried that tablet?
Thanks in advance 🙂
