Teclast X98 Air III

Cheapest Retina Tablet of 2015

The Teclast X98 Air III is Teclast's budget 9.7" Retina tablet. It's powered by an Atom Z3735F Bay Trail, 2GB of DDR3 Ram and a 32GB or 64GB eMMC. It's Teclast's answer to Cube's i6 Wifi model. The X98 Air III was first released as an Android only unit, but can be converted to dual boot. The later released 64GB Model is dual boot.

PiPo X9 Review – A Cheap Dual Boot Hybrid Mini PC

Recently I reviewed the first hybrid Tablet/Mini PC with a screen from Pipo the X8, now their latest and greatest Atom mini-PC model the PiPo X9 has just come out and it has the same Atom Z3736F chipset only it now comes with Windows 10 and a larger 8.9 1920 x 1200 tablet IPS panel in it. Due to time constraints and the fact it doesn’t really fit into the site as a tablet, I have just finish...[Read More]

Deals: Teclast X98 Pro 9.7″ 4GB Cherry Trail now $215 (Updated)

Update: The price has dropped to $215 now with the coupon. This is the K9C6 factory dual boot model, not the K9C3 single OS Windows 10 Home model. Banggood.com have a deal on the X98 Pro using this coupon, 3F3128 which SEN pointed out in the forums which brings the X98 Pro price down to $219  now $215, the cheapest deal around so far. If you haven’t seen the X98 Pro, it’s the new updat...[Read More]

The Chuwi Hi10 Is Crowd Funded?

I spotted this on JD.com, in an interesting turn of events it would seem Chuwi has the Hi10 on some type of Kickstarter, crowd fundraiser in China. Specs still talk of an Atom X5 Z8300 with 4GB of Ram. Did Chuwi find a way to get the Z8300 to run 4GB? Intel’s Ark states it will only support 2GB max. And they show three USB ports. 2 x USB 2.0 and one microUSB, like the Chuwi Vi10. So they are...[Read More]

No Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 announced today, just a 4k TV…

Xiaomi were rumored to be launching the Mi Pad 2, an Atom X5 tablet today. But it turns out it’s just a 60″ 4K TV with some crazy specs. All the hype for nothing. Let the rumors keep spreading, But they are meant to be working on a dual boot tablet, cashing in on the dual boot sales I guess? I will try and keep an eye on the Chinese news site if Google translate stops playing up on me.

Details on the Onda oBook 11

Details have emerged via an Ali Express listing that the Onda oBook11 is not powered by a Core M, but a Cherry Trail Atom X5 Z8300, 2GB of Ram and a 32GB eMMC drive. It looks like a clone of a Yoga book, with a keyboard that can flip 360 degrees behind the screen turning it into a tablet or it can be used in a presentation mode to support itself upside down like a tent. These photoshopped images s...[Read More]

Poor

Nice in general but full-size USB does not work

Hi everyone, I have just received my Cube i10. In general I am satisfied except that the full-size USB port does not work. It seems to be a driver error because in the Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus controllers I can see a yellow triangle with the text: Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) it happens for my mouse/USB stick/external hard drive/card reader. Do you have a ...[Read More]

Teclast X98 Plus Announced, Another Cherry Trail 9.7″ Tablet

Teclast has announced on Weibo yet another 9.7″ Retina tablet. It features the slightly slower X5 Z8300 Cherry Trail than the X98 Pro. No other specs were confirmed, OS or price but it does have the new Teclast Air III unibody casing. My rough guess is it will cost around $170-$180 USD, if the X98 Pro is now $219 it’s got to be much less. I assume it will have 2GB of RAM and a 32GB/64G...[Read More]

New 8″ Cherry Trail Tablets, the Teclast X80 Pro and X80 Plus

Teclast have updated their X80 line, and plan to release the X80 Plus and X80 Pro version. Both models are a successor to the Teclast X80h and both will be powered with the Atom X5 Z8300, 2GB of Ram and a 32GB eMMC. The difference between the Pro and Plus is the screen, much like the Chuwi Vi8 and Hi8. The plus has an 1280 x 800 IPS panel and the pro an 1920 x 1200 panel. Which I assume will be th...[Read More]

ASUS Transformer Book T100HA Review (Video)

Recently I picked up a Transformer Book T100HA, it’s got the same Atom X5 Z8500 and 4GB as the X98 Pro. So I thought it would be a good comparison. Often I post reviews and other interesting things just on the YouTube channel. Like this Asus Transformer Book T100HA review video below. While issues with the touch screen have forced me to have to return this unit. I’m not bothering with ...[Read More]
