Vido have just recently announced they will be releasing a Core M 5Y10C powered 11.6″ tablet, it’going to have a range of ports, including 2 x USB 3.0 ports which is great. 4GB of ram and a 128GB SSD. Wifi, HDMI out, a MicroSD card slot and well as BT 4.0. It’s also got a Venue 11 Pro looking keyboard / cover case. Don’t get too excited, there is a pathetic screen resolutio...[Read More]
Had some time now with the Cube i6 Dual boot, here’s a couple of videos showing the Android Rom, Windows 8.1 and the OS switching from Windows to Android and back. As you can see this switching set up from within the OS is much faster than Teclast’s approach to dual os swtiching with their boot selector menu.
Our Cube i6 arrived yesterday, it’s Cube’s answer to the Onda v919 Air 3G and the Teclast X98 Air 3G. While it may have the Z3735F Atom and not the Z3736F 1.8 Vs 2.13 Ghz, it doesn’t really make much of a difference in terms of performance. I’ll be putting the device through it’s paces and should have a full review up within 2 weeks. I decided to get this one from Gee...[Read More]
The Onda v116w Dual Boot review is now up here: http://techtablets.com/onda-v116w/review/ it’s worth a look if you’re considering a larger tablet with a full sized usb port. Next up for review will be the Cube i6 Dual boot. It’s due in via DHL this week and it will be the first Cube tablet for me, I’ve heard a lot of good about Cube when it comes to their build quality. So ...[Read More]
These are dumped directly from my Tecalst X80h Dual Boot, Windows 8.1 & Windows 10 drivers using Doubledriver. You can use doubledriver to restore the drivers more quickly, but some things like the touch driver will need to be install manually and the orientation sensor. These also work on Windows 10. You can download the drivers and doubledriver here: http://techtablets.com/teclast-x80h-dual-...[Read More]
Taken a little longer than I had hoped, but I wanted to cover all aspects of this little tablet. So the Teclast X80h Dual Boot review is now finally online. A solid little tablet with some of the best benchmark scores seen yet from a Bay Trail Z35XX soc. If your in the market for a dual boot and don’t like the 9’7″ offerings this one is worth a look as well as the Chuwi Vi8 which ...[Read More]
On PiPo’s weibo (28th Feb), a new tablet from them, featuring a 2560 x 1600 10’1 screen with 4GB of ram, a 64GB eMMC and a Core M CPU. What more, it has a USB 3.0 port (No mention if it’s full sized) and a keyboard dock, which looks to be the same dock from the PiPo W3/W3F. Interesting, seems all the top Chinese tablet companies are now jumping onto the Core M’s and I hope ...[Read More]
This one here is a request I had a few months back and recently requested again, how is the Teclast X98 Air 3G in direct sunlight or in the shade outside? I recorded these two quick clips in the midday sunshine and then the shade. The video comes out much worse than it looks in person. However it is still not really the best, I wouldn’t recommend this tablet for direct sunlight reading. On t...[Read More]
Trying to keep the ball rolling, I currently have the Teclast X80h Dual Boot, which I have already filmed a few hands on videos of. It’s been out for a while, but the dual boot version is quite new, similar to the Chuwi Vi8, with the same IPS panel, but in white. And the Onda v116w, it’s a 11.6 inch tablet, 1080p screen also a dual boot and it has a full sized usb 2.0 port. If you̵...[Read More]
I’ve had a good couple of weeks using the Onda V919 Air 3G Dual OS and have just finished up the review for this Chinese Air clone. Chek out the review here. It’s a solid tablet, just let down by a few points. Worth a read if you are looking for a retina display dual boot tablet.
Everyone is jumping in on the dual boot band wagon, Chuwi have just announced that they plan to release the Chuwi Vi8 ias a dual boot model to. I recently reviewed this tablet myself here in this original Windows 8.1 config. Well dual is all fine and dandy, the limits this puts on the storage capacity isn’t. Personally, dual boot tablets need a bare minimum of 64GB.
Just under 12 hours left, today only Teclast have reduced the price of the X98 Air 3G from $229 with shipping to $199, it’s not a bad deal at all concidering you get both Android and Windows in one tablet. But I wonder if it’s to clear out stock that could be faulty? Maybe to clear out stock for another new tablet? Perhaps a 64GB X98 Air ? Well if your thinking of getting on now is the...[Read More]
