Teclast X80 Power Review Online

The X80 Power review is now online here: Teclast X80 Power Review It’s the below video review, but with a summary, with the good and the bad points. Teclast definitely wins with the build of this 8-inch tablet, very slim at 7.2mm and nobody comes close to this build in the sub $100 price group. (Banggood now sells it for $98.99 here) Just a shame mine has some screen quality issues (First ba...[Read More]

Now Shipping: Teclast X98 Plus II

The Teclast X98 Plus II Dual OS is now in stock and shipping from Banggood.com. I’ll try to get my hands on one and have a look at the changes. But looking at the press imagines, it has had a slight redesign, thinner and more rounded with all the ports now located at the top of the X98 Plus II. And the rear housing has had some minor changes with some new speaker grills. When I get hold of m...[Read More]

Teclast X80 Power Unboxing And First Impressions

This was a surprise, I never expected the Teclast X80 power to be much slimmer than the X80 Plus or Pro. But it’s is in fact 7.3 mm, the build is very nice. The alloy housing, fit, finish are very good, it has a premium feeling to it apart fro mthe plastic power and volume buttons. The rear reminds me of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2’s build, the screen is glass (not plastic) and the speakers so...[Read More]

Teclast Tbook 10 Review (video)

In cased you missed this on the TechTablets YouTube channel here is the Tbook 10 full video review. Note that I gave up waiting for the keyboard dock to become available so I could review them at the same time. It’s still not out yet, but should be by the end of the month, I’ll review that later. This is a long review that covers both operating systems and everything else I could think...[Read More]

Teclast X89 Kindow Review Video (Android)

A little behind schedule with all my internet issues. Not a great spec great, but the price is. Only $76 at Banggood. Pros: It’s cheap Nice 240 PPI 4:4 screen. Up to 310 cd/m2. Rom speed i...[Read More]

Teclast X3 Pro Review Now Online

If you missed it, the written review for the Teclast X3 Pro is now up and online. The X3 Pro is the only 8GB, Dual-band Wireless AC, stylus-enabled Core M3 from the Chinese brands. Teclast might not have updated from last year’s design, but they certainly took a few steps to ensure the spec is at least better than Cube’s i9, the other Intel Core M3 Chinese tablet. But does better specs...[Read More]

Teclast X3 Pro Internals. Sim Reader And Spare M.2 Slot

Got around to looking at the internals of the X3 Pro, as I suspected there is a SIM reader on the motherboard and a spare M.2 slot for a 4G modem. The build quality is good, nicely laid out. Good to see Teclast used some copper in there on the heatsink and not aluminium. I would have thought they would have used a thermal pad on top of the heatsink to transfer heat to the rear alloy casing like Cu...[Read More]

The price is now $449 which is around the price I paid for mine from GearBest on sale. If you haven’t seen this model, it’s the second Chinese brand Intel Core M3 6Y30 tablet released. (The first being the Cube i9) And unlike the Cube this on supports an...[Read More]

Teclast X98 Plus II Coming – Just A Minor Redesign?

Teclast has an X98 Plus II model coming soon.  And it looks to me like it’s sadly just a refresh of the design with a new unibody rear alloy housing redesign. The ports are now all on the top of the tablet and the speaker slots look a little different. It’s hard to say if it’s slimmer or not due to Teclast’s history of inaccurate photoshopped images. The specs are all the s...[Read More]

Cube i9 Vs Teclast X3 Pro Comparison

The two flagship Intel Core M3’s compared in this video comparison, the X3 Pro uses last years X2 Pro housing and keyboards. But it’s got an edge (pun intended) over the Cube i9 with its 8GB of RAM, Stylus support and Wireless AC. Speed wise they are very similar, the X3 Pro has slightly better scores in most benchmarks, but not all. The X3 Pro has slower SSD drive. And benchmarks aren...[Read More]

Teclast X89 Kindow Unboxing And First Look

The new 4:3 budget dual tablet from Teclast has arrived in the office. Here’s the unboxing video of the X89 Kindow, it’s got a 1440 x 1080 Samsung IPS screen, 32GB eMMC, 2GB of DDR3 RAM and last years Atom Bay Trail Z3735F (Using old stock?). Also found out it’s only running Android 4.4.4 which is now very dated, but at least it’s Windows 10 and not 8.1. Hope to see that up...[Read More]

Teclast X3 Pro Unboxing, Keyboard And First Impressions

So many tablet releases at the moment, my GearBest Teclast X3 Pro just arrived. Here’s the unboxing video with the stylus and keyboard below. Nice surprise here is the X3 Pro doesn’t have the advertised Wireless N. But dual band Intel Wireless-AC. The keyboard I also received a few weeks ago and it’s covered in the above video along with a very quick look at the active stylus. So...[Read More]
