Onda today has announced the oBook10 Pro, a 10.1 inch two in one similar to the Chuwi HiBook or Cube iwork10 Ultimate. But unlike the oBook10, this new oBook10 Pro comes with an Atom X7 Z8700, 4GB of DDR3 dual chanel RAM and an upgraded screen of 1920 x 1200. It’s only the second tablet from China to be powered by the X7 , the first was the Teclast X16 Power. Hopefully it’s priced unde...[Read More]
My X98 Plus Dual OS arrived (Sorry a bit late, snail mail and no DHL this time) and I went through the usual benchmarks I like to test and some popular games like Mortal Kombat X which really pushes the GPU to the max. As you’ll see in the video review here, the ROM is still geared towards China, but that’s not a huge issue. Luckily most of the Chinese bloat (95%) can be removed by jus...[Read More]
This has leaked out via Ali Express, an over keen seller has jumped the gun and posted info on the new Chuwi Hi10 they will be selling. It’s basically an upgraded Vi10. It keeps same formular that made the Vi10 such a popular model, the keyboard dock, two full sized USB ports, but has a few nice improvements. Funny thing is there is no mention of this model on Teclast’s Weibo, no announcement, nothing. T...[Read More]
Prices have been dropping in the last month, the Chuwi Vi10 is now only $140, and the Teclast X98 Air 3G 64GB model is now $202.95, both have free shipping included. All these price drops make me wonder if they are clearing out stocks for the up and coming new models with Windows 10 or next gen Atom chips? If you have found cheaper please let us know in the comments.
Onda’s so called dual boot breakthrough “Surprise surprise” is really nothing but some fake sped up boot switching video and a new firmware that allows each OS to access the other. Nothing I would consider breakthrough, just a bunch of marketing hype. The new firmware files are here if your interested: http://onda.cn/Tablet/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductId=361 And the better and faster...[Read More]
A new Weibo post from Onda, they are going to unveil a Dual OS breakthrough. It looks like a new way to start up and switch OS’s and there is a sharedisk, so each OS can read and open files on the other. (To a limited extent) More on this tomorrow. I wonder if its a new Insyde bios update with switcher that is even faster than before. It’s certainly faster than Teclast and Pipo’s...[Read More]
Teclast finished 2014 with a slew of new dual boot tablets, but was the X10HD 3G one too many?
