Chuwi now has the Hi10 listed for pre-order on Tmall.com, with shipping start from the 3rd of November. The price is listed as 1009 Yuan which works out to be around $174 USD. Remember this is the Chinese price, online retailers like Aliexpress, Banggood and GearBest will be selling it for more. GearBest already has it listed for $185.99 on preorder.
The Chuwi Hi10 is the successor to Vi10, with the new Atom X5 Z8300 (Similar to Z3735F CPU but with 30-40% more GPU power) 4GB of Ram, 64GB eMMC, 2 x full sized USB 2.0 ports, MicroUSB for charging and 1920 x 1200 10.1″ screen. Like the Vi10, it comes with a keyboard dock, but the design of the dock has changed and looks to be more like the Asus Transformer Book T100 series docks.
I’ll do my best to get hold of one for full review treatment here on the site.

Uncle Ruckus
Is it possible for a person in the United States to place a pre-order through TMall? Does anyone have any experience with that? I want to place an order but would prefer not to use an intermediary like GearBest or an AliExpress seller–I’ve got a gorgeous malware-infested-rom ZTE V5 Pro gathering dust that I purchased from ETStar on Ali Express that I haven’t had the time to flash yet. Avoiding the intermediaries will hopefully ensure that I get a clean device.
Chris G
You need to use an agent to help you or know someone in China. Be careful of scammers.
Rami
hay Chris i was almost buying the vi10, luckily i saw your announcement, the price is pretty high for hi10, i will wait for a while to see. One question though, can surface 3 keyboard work on vi10 ? or it has different docking port. i was planning to buy vi10 and use surface 3 keyboard for it. does it work
BR 🙂
Blackburn
It’s got a different dock, won’t work!
דניאל עזרן
so what are you recommend
to buy the vi10 or wait for this new version ?
and when i can find the best store for the vi10 ?
Dan
Why is it than anytime I add a coupon for this it changes the price to 215+$
Gregor Kompara
It is usually because the coupon can only be used with a regular, not owith a discounted price. The discounted price is usually less than the regular price minus the coupon. At least that’s what happened to me.
Blackburn
Some coupons don’t work! And it removes the default discounts.
Loba
can the Hi10 dual boot? wonder if the keyboard comes with the Hi10….and other than screen difference with vi10…doesnt seem to have any other difference…
Deep grass
The presale of Hi10 is windows 10 only. For the base price, keyboard is not included. The Hi10 has a better spec, higher resolution (1920 x 1200 WUXGA IPS screen) than Vi10 (1366 X 768 IPS screen).
Loba
Thanks. any idea which site comes with the keyboard?
Deep grass
It is USB 2.0 x2 only. This would be more attractive if it has Z8500 and USB 3.0 (or USB type-C).

PS Chris. I come from your youtube channel. I really like your detail review and your site, will be come here more often.
Deep grass
In description it says battery Capacity: 8000mAh(Rated capacity 6500mAh) . Does it mean on the battery it is label as 8000mAh, but in real actually 6500mAh is usable?
leasedeb .
How it is to watch 16:9 video on a 16:10 screen like the chuwi hi10?
Thank you
Blackburn
It will have borders in 16:10, 16:9 fits more movies formats.
ehsan
it has a very nice built keyboard… but i think it’s expensive

Alex
What is the chance that it’ll be updated with Lollipop?
Do Chuwi tend to support their devices like this?
Also worried about the battery.. But otherwise the specs look great
Gregor Kompara
If the keyboard is indeed Asus Transformer Book style, does this mean that it supports different viewing angles like on a notebook? I find this much more convenient than a fixed angle like in some keyboard cases.
Kyriakos
this one seems like a value for money tablet if you are after this form-factor and battery life is decent.
Laura
usb 2.0? what a shame…
Laura
wait, there’s an image where i can read USB 3.0 on that page…
Chris G
I thought the same, but I think it means 3 x USB. (2 x USB 2.0 full sized and 1 x micro) like the Vi10. I hope I’m wrong of course and it does have USB 3.0!
Laura
if you look at all the images it says pretty clearly that the top port is USB 2.0, the middle is micro usb 2.0 and the bottom one USB 3.0
so glad… now the only thing that is missing is dual boot…
Gregor Kompara
There are two USB slots on the picture, one says USB and the other USB 3.0.

It would be nice to have a table with all the tablets and their specs. Screen size, screen resolution, OS, Dual Boot, CPU, RAM, USB3, SSD size, etc. and your rating in case you tested it.
Maybe you could use a Google Spreadsheet and embed it? Or some other service that allows you to easily create spread sheets for websites.
Then one could easily make a decision to buy.
Kyriakos
I’m developing a site that does just that. Glad to see there is demand for it 🙂
Chris G
I have one in progress. But the issue is it’s so much work and little time for it. The table has the CPU spec, Ram, screen rers and benchmarks. Maybe when the site grows and I have some more people working on the site with me.
Carsten Schmied
Well…please post whatever you have. Maybe make a shared Google spreadsheet and wee fill in missing stuff.
Carsten Schmied
Atom X5 Z8300 (Similar to Z3735F CPU but with 30-40% more GPU power) 4GB of Ram.
Impossible. The Z8300 only supports 2GB of RAM.
8GB are possible with Z8500 or Z8700.
Gal
Wrong sir. The 8300 can handle 4GB. There is an older article about it on Techtablets.
Laura
nothing is confirmed as of now. official intel specs says z8300 = max 2gb but there are oems (including hp) left and right announcing products with 4gb and z8300
i guess we’ll find out only when the products will be reviewed
Liam
Someone here on the forums dug into the Z8300 specs and found that the max of 2GB was for DDR3L but that they can support a max of 4GB for LPDDR3, LPDDR3 is specific to mobile devices.
Laura
that’s wrong. the specs says that T3 packaged atoms (z8300) support only ddr3l up to 2gb while T4 (z8500-z8700) support up to 8gb lpddr3
Carsten Schmied
Well, then I guess Intel is wrong: http://ark.intel.com/products/87383/Intel-Atom-x5-Z8300-Processor-2M-Cache-up-to-1_84-GHz
Chris G
I know Intel’s Ark says that I thought the same. But see this post: http://techtablets.com/2015/10/intel-atom-x5-z8300-can-run-4gb-of-ram-it-seems/
Carsten Schmied
Let’s hope it doesn’t have some disadvantages. Like a 32bit OS being able to run on a system with more then 4GB of RAM but then being only able to address ~3GB.
Shub-Niggurath
Muy best hopes for this tabletas!
Looking forward to read tour review!
James Roberts
Looking forward to the review of this and any comparisons to the PIPO W1S 🙂
