Onda has today announced their latest tablet coming soon, the Onda V919 Air CH. It’s a 9.7″ 4:3 Cherry Trail X5 Z8500 Atom tablet. The tablet will ship with a 64GB eMMC and 4GB of Ram. No other specs announced, but I’m sure it’s going to be the same as always, Wireless N 150mbps single band 2.4Ghz (boo hoo) BT 4.0.
And no word on HDMI out or USB ports, but it’s safe to assume it’s at least got a micro HDMI out and USB 2.0. But I hope it has a micro USB 3.0 or even better Type-C. So a competitor to the Teclast X98 Pro, same specs, but with a different and HTC’ish look to it.
No word on the release date or pricing.
So it begins we are now going to see all the main Chinese brands releasing their own Cherry Trail tablets. Now this just that leaves Chuwi, Ramos and Cube to announce their own new models based on the new Cherry Trail SoC. Chuwi are rumored to be announcing something soon, maybe even two new CT models this month 10.6″ and 8″. Personally I’m interested to see what Cube will do, maybe they are sitting back and waiting this round out due to the increased heat the X5 Atom’s have?
Let’s see if Onda has improved in quality over the disastrous Onda V919 Core M I got.

Hello is 178.29 USD is good price now for this tablet? http://deals-china.blogspot.com/2016/01/17829-usd-for-onda-v919-air-ch-tablet.html

A xiaomitoday site claims “Other specifications of note include a 7,200 mAh battery, a weight of 450 grams”. That probably implies a ridiculously shirt battery life. Compare to X98 Air 3g’s 8500mah.

I found some more info here: http://www.onda-tablet.com/onda-v919-air-ch-9-7-inch-4gb-ram-intel-tablet.html
It claims 4:3 ratio…

I am glad to see that are offering 64GB on board storage.
After buying 3 generations of Apples iPads with 64GB I can’t go backwards.. I hate the crappyness of SD storage. I want large builtin storage.
Laura
meh. another ipad wannabe. seriously, im tired of all these 4:3 tablets, if i wanted a tablet with that aspect ratio and look i’d buy the ipad.
still waiting for a good cherry trail 8-9″ tablet with 16:10 ratio

I hear you, but at least Pipo Will have the 16:10 W1S with a cherry Trail and then Chuwi will have some 16:9 or 16:10 Cherry trails soon..

Someone posted here earlier about an aliexpress seller that started taking orders for chuwi hi10 http://m.aliexpress.com/item/32468463380.html?spm=2114.01020208.3.1.Q6BPxR&ws_ab_test=201526_1%2C201527_4_3_2_1_5_4_71_72_73_74_75%2C201409_1&adminSeq=223355140&productId=32468463380&productId=32468463380&productId=32468463380&shopNumber=1818735&productSubject=Chuwi-Hi10-Dual-OS-Windows-10-Android-5-1-Tablet-PC-Intel-Cherry-Trai-Z8300-10&productSubject=Chuwi-Hi10-Dual-OS-Windows-10-Android-5-1-Tablet-PC-Intel-Cherry-Trai-Z8300-10&tracelog=wwwdetail2mobilesitedetail
Sounds interesting enough.. Especially at that price

Nice, I have been waiting for this to be official and announced after I was tipped about it. Now it has leaked, but its days away from announcement. Btw, it will be a X5 Z8500 as that support 4GB, the Z8300 doesn’t. 16:10 screen and two full-sized usb ports. (rumored to be only USB 2 🙁 ) Basically an upgraded Vi10, this excites me more than the 4:3 tablets.

It’s listed in some shops like GHDeal by 369.99 $… Too expensive! The prize is like Cube i7 Stylus’ one…
Chris G
Wow $369.99, crazy price. But that’s is some dealers rip off pricing. I would think it would be priced like the X98 Pro so around $260 usd. Yes, the Cube i7 Stylus is still the king. Best tablet yet out of China. I’ll have a Teclast X2 Pro soon and we will see if it can better than i7 Stylus, it just might with it’s 2 x USB 3.0 ports and keyboard dock with 3 positions.
Filipp
i7 is not the king as it has an obsolete FullHD display like it is 3 years old
Moreover, it is 16:10 which is not comfortable
moreover, it has windows not android
Chris G
It’s a matter of personal choice. I would rather take 1920 x 1080p on a 10.6 inch tablet over 2560 x 1600 as you run into Windows scaling issues and the higher resolution always makes the tablets a bit slower.
Martinski
I Agree. 1080p on a 11″ works well.
