The sale is now over…
Gearbest has a big summer sale on top brand Chinese tablets, now on for five days. They have posted limited stocks at these lower prices. Speaking of which, look to be some of the best on the internet I’ve found.
Some of the better deals I’ve listed below:
Jumper EZBook 2 (Ultrabook):
Deals like the Jumper EZbook 2 Ultrabook I recently reviewed, is now going for $167.99 While not a perfect system, it’s one of the fastest Z8300 devices I’ve seen. Very smooth and fluid. See my Jumper EZbook 2 Review
Chuwi HiBook:
And the Chuwi HiBook for $164.99, the new second batch that fixes the USB port issue on the dock. My HiBook review is here.
Cube iwork10 Ultimate:
The Cube iwork10 Ultimate is now only $154.89, the new model with Type-C which charges faster. (One of my favorite transformer style tablets tested) My Cube iwork10 Ultimate review is here.
Xiaomi MI Pad 2:
And the premium Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 Windows 10 version with a more powerful Atom X5 Z8500 is now $219.89. My review is here it got a very high rating thanks to its fully laminated screen and premium build quality.

Does the type C I work ultimate in fact charge faster. Gearbest’s specs say that its only a 2A charter.
Have you tested this?
Chris G
I haven’t as I reviewed the MicroUSB model (first batch one) But its’ basiclly the same as the HiBook, made by the same ODM. I think it will charge faster, it does on the Type-C HiBook. But you will have to use a 3A charger.

Hi, Chris,

Chris G
Looks like the Onda oBook 10 Pro, same screen size and specs. Even looks the same, did this retailer get it wrong?

The Cube iWork 10 Ultimate link points to Cube iWork 10 Flagship. is it the same tablet ? if not what’s different?
Chris G
Same tablet, it’s called the iowrk10 ultimate and iwork10 flagship.

A pity they don’t offer a 12-inch 2-in-1 tablet, or do they?
I would love to see a 14-inch 2-in-1 – something like the Ezbook 2. Is there a chance we will see a tablet with around 13-14 inch in the near future?
Chris G
Not sure, I think if we do it will be a Yoga book 360 degrees hinge style.
Nono
VOYO VBook V3 is already a 13.3″ yoga type ultrabook and in this sale.
I also wish they had a 12″ tablet on sale…

I was talking about a 13-14 inch 2-in-1 tablet. Why does not a single manufacturer make any? I would like something bigger then 12 inch.
ScutMonkey
There is a screen size below which you can put Windows 10 on the device for free. If you go above that screen size then you have to pay for the full version. I would guess that size is somewhere around 12 inches.
Either that or the electronics to make a tablet out of a larger screen are just too heavy. Not sure. I’d like a larger tablet too.
Carsten Schmied
A DinA4 sheet has a diagonal of 14.3 inch. So to get anywhere close to a normal magazine or comic or large book reading experience we would need 13.3 or even 14-15 inch.
I don’t care if it costs a little more because of Windows…or if it only comes with Android. I want a bigger tablet. Those tiny things (~10 inch) are horrible.
I still don’t understand why not a single manufacturer produces 14inch tablets. The technology is there since there are 14inch ultrabooks.

Nice deals! how long does GearBest usually take to ship our the tablets?

For ever.

Anywhere from the next day (my Cube i9 http://techtablets.com/2016/06/cube-i9-core-m3-399-flash-sale/) Or a week or two. All depends on their stock levels and anyone’s guess.
