Teclast’s launched now their new flagship tablet. The Teclast T30, this is a 10.1″ Android 9.0 4G dual SIM tablet powered by the MediaTek P70, which is a nice step up over the older Helio X27 chipset. The T30 has 4GB of RAM, 64GB eMMC, MicroSD support, and an 8000mAh battery. Compared with previous generations the biggest gains are to be found are the GPU of the Helio P series, the Tec...[Read More]
Update: The BMAX Y11 is selling for $289, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. This is cheaper than the Tecalst F5 with double the storage so not a bad price. You need to use coupon: BGBYL31 to get it for this price on checkout at Banggood. Thanks to Miguel for pointing this one out, for those that are after the Teclast F5 it looks like we have a replacement model with the 8GB of RAM in the ...[Read More]
My review of the BMAX Y13 can be found here: https://techtablets.com/bmax-y13/review/ Finally something of interest again, this one popped up on Gearbest and looks promising. BMAX (Not a brand I’ve reviewed) has a laptop similar to the Teclast F5 but only bigger and with the important 8GB of DDR4 RAM. The Y13 it’s called and has a 13.3″ IPS panel with slim 5mm bezels on the sides...[Read More]
Something a lot of us have been after is finally coming the 8GB’s of RAM we have sorely been missing paired to the Intel Celeron N4100 (Gemini Lake) in a Chuwi laptop. The Lapbook SE has been discontinued for the more modern looking slimmer bezel Chuwi Lapbook Pro. I reviewed then $319 the 4GB version, and despite the 4GB of RAM and only a 64GB eMMC, it runs fine for what it was intended lig...[Read More]
Update #2: Chuwi’s added some more images of the Ubook Pro (Below) The Indiegogo crowdfunding will launch on the 8th of October. Just after their national holidays. You can sign up here to be advised when it’s live and also get a 25% discount on the UBook Pro. Update: Chuwi’s confirmed it will be an Indiegogo crowdfunded laptop and the price will be about $600 USD, I’m not ...[Read More]
I’m only just back from IFA in Berlin and I did stop by Chuwi’s booth to have a chat and see if they had anything new on display. And sure enough, they did. The Herobook Pro is a new 14.1″ Kaby Lake R laptop that’s in the works. The current model on display was a working prototype but more or less what we can expect for the final version. The first thing I noticed is the si...[Read More]
It’s about time I’ve been waiting for someone to put the Helio P70 in a tablet, and Teclast it seems will be the first. The Teclast T30 which is currently listed on Gearbest has a 10.1″ 1920 x 1200 (16:10) screen. It should be fully laminated and powered by the octa-core Helio P70 with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. This a noticeably faster than the older Helio X20 series 10 core chipsets and...[Read More]
I took a look at another barebones Mini PC called the NVISEN Y-M01-8 or B3, B15 on Aliexpress but it’s really the same exact PC. And no, it’s not a weak Gemini Lake or three generations-old CPU but an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 8250U. So quad-core with 8 threads. They have 6M Cache and turbo up to 3.40 GHz. These chips are now becoming more comment with Chinese brands and this is one of the...[Read More]
Currently, I have the Mechrevo S1 Pro, it’s no doubt another brand you haven’t heard of and another first for me too. But I’m going back to the site’s roots testing out unknown brands and taking some risks. This 14” laptop is like the 2019 Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro only smaller. But has upgradable RAM (comes with one stick of 8GB DDR4 2666Mhz) the Whiskey Lake U Intel Core i5 8265U and the newe...[Read More]
So it’s in finally after a few shipping issues the Heimai 7 Nvidia GTX 1650 Chinese gaming laptop from MaiBenBen. Never heard of them? Neither had I, this laptop I picked up for $644 on sale from Aliexpress. The deal seemed too good to be true, 144hz refresh rate screen, 256GB Samsung PM981 NVME, 8GB of DDR4 2666Mhz RAM (1 slot used, one free) Wireless AC , backlit RGB keyboard and room for anothe...[Read More]
Update: The official site (Thank you eDstaR) does state it has a fully laminated screen with touch support, so it’s now safe to assume it’s the Thinker i35 just with a different name and Core 6Y30. Plus double the storage. I would have preferred a Core M3-8100Y. These Chinese tech brands have been hit very hard to have to go with older CPUs due to the 14nm shortage and Intel’s hi...[Read More]
