Edit: We’re building a list of good and bad sellers, online retailers and reviews here in the forum. Please share your experiences: http://techtablets.com/forums/forum/general/online-retailers-seller-recommendations-and-reviews/ So we can start to build up an idea of the online retailers that offer the best service. I’ve been using Ali Express to buy most of my tablets to review here, ...[Read More]
A while ago I reviewed the Voyo Mini PC and it was quite disappointing, I was looking for a mini PC to double as a media TV box and movies, download machine. But the Voyo just wasn’t up to the job having very slow storage and lag. This Ainol V1 looks interesting, similar spec, but it has a RJ45 lan port. Which is what I’m after on a mini pc, that and a full sized HDMI port, microsd slo...[Read More]

It just recently came out, the Pipo W8. It’s another media / mini TV PC, but with a difference. It’s a dual boot, its got 4 x USB 2 ports and a bit of an oddball look. Looks like tablet screen and a TV media box in one. Powered by an Atom Z3736F, with 2GB of ram and a 32GB eMMC, pretty standard dual boot tablet specs. The screen is a 8″ 1280 x 800 one, set at a fixed angle within...[Read More]
Looking around the Chuwi forums today, I noticed talk of a Chuwi Vi10 Pro model that has 64GB storage, I wonder if it also has a 1080p screen? I can’t seem to find any further info at the moment on the web about this Chuwi Vi10 pro. There is one seller on Ali Express that claims to have a 64GB model, but no real info either. The Vi10 is one of my favorite dual boots I have reviewed so far, 3...[Read More]
It’s been a battle getting hold of a PiPo W8, but 3rd time lucky my unit is finally in the EU. Hopefully arriving tomorrow if not Monday. If you’re new to the PiPo W8 model, it’s a promising Core M 10.1″ tablet with a super sharp, 2560 x 1600 pixel screen. This could be my last Core M I review or maybe the Cube i7 Stylus will be, but these higher end tablets are just to ris...[Read More]
Onda today has launched a new massive 13.1 inch tablet, that has it’s own docking keyboard with USB ports in the keyboard. No further details from Onda others than these pictures….Looks like a super large iPad with a keyboard. Safe to say, I will not be following this tablet and it must have unconfirmed specs and OS which is why we have no further info? Source
Onda is at the Computex 2015 trade show in Taiwan and they are apparently showing the Onda V919 Core M iPad clone according to this Weibo post. But unfortunately, no images or further info, I’m crawling the web looking for any images or info and draw blanks here. Be interesting it see if it’s going to be thicker than the V919 Bay Trail model or use the same chassis (I hope not) If and ...[Read More]
I received my Chuwi Vi10 keyboard in record time from China, only 10 days via PostNL. Not bad at all, I was trying to get hold of one when I brought the Vi10, but at the time no seller had this in stock. The keyboard is around $30 and if you buy it with the Chuwi Vi10 normally you can get it much cheaper than this as a bundle, around $15-$20. If you can do this I recommend getting it the sa...[Read More]
Asus have today announced the Transformer Book T100HA, its the successor to the T100ta Bay Trail 2 in 1. The new T100HA will use a Cherry Trail Atom X5, which I imagine would be the x5-Z8300 version which is similar to the Z3735F in terms of CPU power and about 35-40% faster GPU wise. It has a very similar looking keyboard to the T100TA and USB Type C. And it looks like Asus have done an Apple and...[Read More]
Another tablet review completed, the Cube iwork8 3G. This entry level 8 inch tablet could just be the best one out of the Teclast X80H, Pipo W4S and Chuwi Vi8 I have reviewed so far. Like the other 3 reviewed they have their pros and cons. But the iwork8 is the only one that has 3G support, unfortunately only in Android! Still for those with good data plans and what an 8 inch tablet it’s wor...[Read More]
Aliexpress have a special on the Chuwi Vi10, it’s today only and the price has dropped to $149 from $187. The Vi10 looks interesting because it has two full sized usb ports which is handy and the slightly faster Z3736F 2.16Ghz bay trail. What’s not cool is the 1366 x 768 screen resolution on the 16:9 screen, 1080p would have been much better. I ordered this tablet on release two weeks ...[Read More]
