Deals: Chuwi Lapbook SE Now $259

Another new coupon is out for the Chuwi Lapbook SE, this is the latest Gemini Lake laptop from Chuwi and my current chosen best budget laptop, I’ve taken mine to New Zealand with me and it’s still running great. It has a great fully laminated display, the best keyboard I’ve used on a budget laptop and it’s backlit. With a few tweaks like installing the OS on the installed SSD, it will run great.

The Lapbook SE can be bought for $259.99 now with coupon GB&TACWlapbookse using it at the checkout will give you the $259.99 price and you also get a free micro HDMI cable. The deal is here.

Overall a great laptop, just that it has only 4GB of RAM. But for most, browsing, Youtube and light tasks this is actually fine. Due to Intel’s shortage on 14nm chips, it’s not shipping until the end of the month. Make sure you watch and read my Chuwi Lapbook SE review for the full list of Pros and Cons, plus exactly what the laptop is capable of.

  1. Any working discount coupon for this laptop?

  2. 217€ includes EUdirect shipmment New cuppon GBNBCWSE239

  3. There is also a Chuwi Lapbook Pro with 14″ screen and TypeC port, that should be available in the near future.

    • Lapbook Pro comes with only 4GB non-upgradable RAM, like Lapbook SE, which is a deal breaker for me.

  4. Is it possible to use 11.11 coupons combined with this flash price? I can’t seem to use any of my current coupons (not even the site wide ones). Unfortunately I don’t have $260 to spend on it, but with a coupon it is within my price range.

  5. Hi Chris
Are you planning to test the Zeusplast 13.3″ Gemini Lake with 8GB DDR3 ?
it looks same hardware as the rose one (they have is too, but it’s 14″)

    • Hi, looks exactly like the same ODM as the EZBook X4. With a high TDP and 8GB of RAM it should run okay. But It’s almost $400 USD. Buying and reviewing it would be at a loss for me. So I don’t think I’ll buy it to test it.

$400 + import tax + fee. Then resale loss and the YT video might make about $15.

  6. What kind of ram does the PC have? pin number or model? If I unsold the original ram I could resolder another one of the same brand and type, however from 8 GB?

    • You would need some skills and special equipment to unsolder one of those chips. But it’s not impossible. I’m not sure of the brand. But its’ DDR4 one 4GB chip 2400Mhz, running at 2133Mhz.

  7. So this is still better than the Teclast F7 ? CPU, Keyboard, battery, screen, trackpad.

    ?Multitask 4gb RAM?

    • Yes it is, the new budget champ apart from the 4GB of RAM. Watch my video review I do some heavy multitasking. It handles light tasks and chrome tabs fine.

      • Hi Chris,

I wrote to the product manager Frank Liao of Chuwi. He confirms that there is NO plan to release a 8GB version of the Lapbook SE, which is a shame.

Can you recommend a laptop with the following must-haves for me?
        – Fully Laminated IPS screen
        – 8GB DDR4 RAM
        – Backlit Keyboard
        – Large touchpad
        – Minimum 8 hours light to medium use
        – Type C port
        – N4100 or N4200 CPU

        Thank you for your suggestions.

        Sean

  8. Definitely a great product, indeed! Really enjoying mine.
BTW, I’ve upgraded the factory 128GB SSD with a Crucial MX500 (500GB) and install a fresh Win10 on it. No problem at all, everything recognized, registered and functional.

    • Great to hear your one is going great, I’ve been giving mine a really good workout as my main laptop here in NZ doing everything it apart from editing 4k videos. Holding up well, love it.
