Cube iwork8 Ultimate Dual Boot Preview (Video)

So we have the first Cherry Trail 8 inch dual boot, about time. I only hope Chuwi follow and do the same with the Vi8 Plus and Hi8 Pro. Here’s a quick look at the Android Rom, some benchmarks and a little gaming on the iwork8 Ultimate. Overall the rom is great, only 3 Chinese apps which are removable. The DPI set in the build.prop for the Rom is perfect for the screen, resulting in a sharp i...[Read More]

Cube i9 Skylake Release Date & Price

Update: The Cube i9 is now listed on Aliexpress.com, the cheapest is going for $509 which is around a $50 mark up from the cost price of 2999 yuan in China. It’s cheaper than the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 M3 which sells for $899 and fingers crossed Cube will have a big sale on it like the i7 Stylus and heavily slash the price. As a Surface Pro 4 user myself, I know it has a better build, Wirel...[Read More]

It could even be the same IPS panel Chuwi uses, which wouldn’t be a bad thing. Often manufacturers source their p...[Read More]

Cube’s new Skylake Core M3-6Y30 tablet the i9 was recently announced, but we didn’t see much on the keyboard type cover it has. Copying the Surface type cover design, these blurry photos show the Cube i9 keyboard looks like it comes in two colors? Or possible prototypes maybe? Many thanks Jin for these images!

Cube To Announce Skylake Powered Tablet 14th Jan

In a Weibo from Cube today, the Chinese tech company announced it will host a conference on the 14th. The theme is Tablet PC core era, which I think means Intel Core M Skylake era? So it sounds like they will be annoucing their new Cube i9 or i7 Stylus Skylake M3-6Y30 refresh? Either way an Intel Core M3-6Y30 is a nice step up in performance as seen in the Surface Pro 4 M3 and other Core M3 tablet...[Read More]

Cube iwork11 Stylus Review Online

Just finished up my Cube iwork11 Stylus review for those interested it’s now online. It’s a good option for those wanting a Wacom enabled X5 Z8300 tablet, but it does have some minor issues I hope Cube will address. Check out the Cube iwork11 Stylus review for the pros and cons. And then you have to sum up if it might just be better getting the Cube i7 Stylus with a more powerful Core ...[Read More]

Cube iWork8 Ultimate Vs Onda v820w CH Which Cherry Trail 8″ is better?

I compare the two current sub $80 dollar eight inch Atom X5 Z8300 powered tablets currently out. Both are similar with the same specs and screen resolution. But the Cube iwork8 Ultimate screen is 2-3 times brighter. The below video I compare them both. The performance of both is disappointing, the X5 Z8300 on both units reaches 85 degrees. And really not much of a step up over the Bay Trail Z3735F...[Read More]
