Chuwi is preparing their latest 2-in-1 Windows 10 tablet the Chuwi SurBook, it’s going to start out as a crowd-funded project on Indiegogo. They have a promo page up for the SurBook here also asking people to leave a comment on what they would like to see in the SurBook. So far it’s shaping up to be possibly the best Apollo Lake Celeron N3450 tablet to date, premium Surface Pro 4 scree...[Read More]
I’ve just added to the Chuwi Hi13 downloads section the factory Windows 10 factory image files for restoring the tablet. Just format a 16GB or larger USB pen drive NTFS, make name it WINPE and move the fiels over to the root of the drive. Next boot your Chuwi Hi13 into the bios (Esc or DEL on boot) Then boot to the drive, the imaging service should then take over partition the drive and crea...[Read More]
Looks like 2017 is going to be a good year for Chinese tablets, the second Surface Pro 4 screen tablet is coming in the way of the Chuwi SurBook (Surface Book name rip off?) We have the Cube iwork 3X with the same screen, now this SurBook which has two full sized USB 3.0 ports, 6GB of RAM, Intel Wireless-AC, 128GB eMMC 5.0 for storage and it’s powered by the now very common Intel Celeron N34...[Read More]
We have the full specs now of the up and coming new 12.3″ laptop from Chuwi called the Lapbook 12.3″. This one has a 2736 x 1824 Surface Pro 4 screen in it with 450 cd/m2 max brightness and of course that 3:2 aspect ratio. As a Surface Pro 4 user, I know that it’s a great screen to have on a budget notebook. The RAM is also 6GB dual channel, following the new trend to move from a...[Read More]
I’ve just received an email that my Chuwi Hi13 ordered from Gearbest has shipped out, others too in the Hi13 forum thread reporting the same. So after a long wait Hi13 units are heading out finally from places other than just Aliexpress where I got my unit from to review. No news on Bangood or other retailers getting stock, they are still showing no stock for now. The Hi13 is listed for $339...[Read More]
Just posted this video recently on YouTube, it’s a look at the internals of the Chuwi Hi13. Dual antenna set up with the Intel Wireless-AC 3165 chipset, two 5000mah batteries, internal metal support frame and those weak four little speakers on each corner. There are no slots for M.2 2242 SSD’s, but I can see that Chuwi have at least plans for this or the motherboard in the future will ...[Read More]
Chuwi has just announced their third Lapbook laptop is coming, the Chuwi Lapbook 12.3. The Chuwi Lapbook 12.3 is metal clad and has 6GB of RAM just like the Jumper EZBook Pro, Teclast X3 Plus and Cube iwork3X. O...[Read More]
Edit: The full Chuwi Hi13 review is now online: https://techtablets.com/chuwi-hi13/review/ Finally, my Chuwi Hi13 arrived the successor to the popular Hi12 model. That was the first tablet outside of Microsoft to use the Surface Pro 3 screen. And now we have the first ever tablet again using the Surface Book 3000 x 2000 resolution 13.5-inch 3:2 ratio screen. This panel has 267 PPI, so even at 13.5...[Read More]
Daniel in the forum has spotted some photos of the Chuwi Hi13 on Amazon.co.jp so some people have their hands on the Hi13 already. The photos show the retail packaging looks like any other Chuwi tablet, that standard brown box and the info side sticker with details. Windows 10 Home and even a Pro option is shown. Hinting at maybe a Windows 10 Pro version release? I hope that model has 6GB+ of RAM ...[Read More]

According to Gearbest’s support ticket they hope to have stock next w...[Read More]
