Now I’ve been using the Tecalst F7 for over 2 days, this gives me a chance to answer some of those questions asked here on the site and Youtube many of you have been firing my way. The most common ones are thermals, the screen, and battery life. It’s currently $229 with this email offer link if it still works. Firstly I’ll start with the battery life as I feel this was the one th...[Read More]

Hands-On With The 2018 Model Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13

Some pleasant surprises with the revised 2018 model of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3. I thought it was a simple case of a new CPU and paint job, seems there are a few other tweaks to this latest edition and more refinement. So we now have the much more powerful Kaby Lake R CPU’s in the 13-inch model. Intel’s 8th Gen Core i5 8250U and i7 8550U, these CPU’s have doubled their cor...[Read More]

Teclast F7 14″ N3450 Laptop. Alternative EZBook 3 Pro

Teclast recently just entered the notebook market with very decent Teclast F6 Pro Core M3 (See my review here) And the Teclast F7. This notebook looks very similar to the Jumper EZbook 3 Pro. The specs are the same and the full metal build looks almost identical except for this weighs 1.24 kilos according to Teclast so it’s lighter than EZBook 3 Pro and has a Micro HDMI out port instead of a...[Read More]

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3″ Model Gets Kaby Lake R CPU’s

I was hoping for a completely new design similar to the XPS line from Dell, but here it is the 2nd refresh of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13 first released in 2016. The 2017’s models i5 7200U and i7 7500U have been swapped out and replaced with the much faster i5 8250U and i7 8550U, performance is around 40% better if not more thanks, double the cores (now quad-core). These are the same CPU&#...[Read More]

Hands-On With the Teclast F6 Pro First Impressions & FAQ

The Teclast F6 Pro, a convertible laptop with a 360-degree hinge and 1080p IPS touchscreen. Below is my unboxing and hands-on video recently posted. So far this laptop is looking very good, it’s very similar to the Cube iwork5X I review but much faster naturally with a Core M3-7Y30, SSD and 8GB of RAM. It’s so similar I think it must be from the same ODM the shell of it at least. It ha...[Read More]

Lenovo XiaoXin Review Now Online

Only my second Lenovo tablet reviewed here on the site, I should be reviewing more if these two I’ve seen are anything to go by. It’s a recent 8″ tablet release from Lenovo, it has the same fully laminated 1920 x 1200 16:10 aspect ratio IPS as the Lenovo P8 I reviewed. The same efficient Snapdragon 625, but has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The tablet has GPS, but lack...[Read More]

Tbook 8XS Pro – 15.6″ GeForce 920M 2GB + J3455 Laptop

Update: I will be reviewing this one, but it’s a good 3 weeks off on the slow boat. So please stop asking 🙂 This one certainly looks interesting from T-Bao, an Apollo Lake J3455 15.6″ 1080p laptop with dedicated Nvidia 920M graphics. So this will be much more powerful than the Intel iGPU on the Apollo Lakes I have typically reviewed and should be able to run for example GTA V at 40-50 ...[Read More]

AllDoCube KNote 8 – 1440p 8GB RAM Core M3-7Y30

AllDoCube has upgraded the KNote I looked at a few months ago, gone is the dull 1080p IPS, now replaced with a fully laminated 2560 x 1440p 13.3″ IPS. The Celeron N3450 is also out, replaced with a Core M3-7Y30 7th Gen. Seems there is still no word from Intel on the 8th Gen Core M3-8Y30 if it’s ever coming. The RAM has also been upgraded to 8GB from 6GB and it has a 256GB SSD, not eMMC...[Read More]
