Update #3: It’s the Surbook Pro, I posted on this months ago but we heard no more on it from Chuwi. It has 12″ Surface Pro 3 screen. 8GB of RAM and yes it has an M.2 SSD hatch on the back. It’s all covered in this hands-on video of the prototype. It’s going to be an Indiegogo crowdfunded tablet. Thanks, adskan for jogging my memory Chuwi had us believe it was a laptop at fi...[Read More]
This one is for those of you asking for a comparison between the Chuwi Hi13 and the Hi12. Hopefully, this will clear things up on which suits your needs best. And if that $100 extra for the newer Hi13 is worth it or not, I think it is but it all depends on what you want the tablet for. So there is a big price difference: The Chuwi Hi13 is $306 with coupon CHUWI25%OFF here And the last gen Hi12 is ...[Read More]
The Chuwi Hi12, which I regard as one of the best dual boot tablets for the price, has quietly been upgraded to the newer revised Atom X5 Z8350 processor, no doubt due to the fact Chuwi simply just ran out of the old Z8300 stock. The newer Z8350 isn’t worth upgrading to if you own the Z8300 model as it’s only a tiny bit faster. Why this Hi12 is one of the best dual OS models is due to ...[Read More]
The comparison many of you have been asking for, both of these 12″ tablets are very similar with the exact same specs, Atom X5 Z8300, 4GB DDR3L 1600Mhz RAM, 64GB eMMC, Wireless N. And both run Android 5.1 and Windows 10 Home. The key differences are stylus support, their screens and battery life. I won’t go into benchmarks as they both perform about the same in 3DMark, Geekbench 3, PCM...[Read More]
Banggood’s Stylus for the Hi12 turned out to be the real deal, the official Chuwi HiPen. I’ve just tested it out briefly in the below unboxing and test video. The stylus looks exactly like the Teclast X3 Pro one. Same build, just missing the logo but it must run on other frequency which is why it didn’t work on the Hi12. I can also confirm that it works on my Cube iwork10 Ultimat...[Read More]
Banggood has now confirmed that all the stock they sell off the Hi12 Dual SO version is the stylus enabled version with new the hardware required for stylus support. There was some confusion over this as it seemed some of older first dual OS models didn’t have the hardware needed for the stylus. But the new latest model does. (Lucky me that ordered a first dual boot version might not get the...[Read More]

Gearbest has a flash sale on the following tablets in limited quantities: The Cube i10 Ultimate or Cube i10 Flagship. It’s a nice 2 in 1 tablet similar to the Chuwi Hi10 or Hi10 Air. Just finished my Chuwi Hi12 Review, if you’re thinking about this model I recommend you have a good look over the review and the included hands-on videos. Being an Atom X5 Z8300 with 4GB of RAM we know it’s no beast, but it performs quite well for the hardware it has. Good eMMC speeds no doubt help and overall I’ve enjoyed using and reviewing this tablet over the last eight days....[Read More]
Low-end tablets are improving each year in leaps and bounds. And now that the Samsung PLS panel used in the Surface Pro 3 is no longer exclusive or in fact needed by Microsoft, Chinese manufacturers now have the new larger 3:2 ratio screen to base their tablet builds around. Chuwi is the first the get their has on this panel and give us what that they think an Atom 12″ 3:2 tablet should be. ...[Read More]
